Flint Hill Public House & Restaurant

This place was renamed years ago The Blue Door. I dont know why Google hasn't kept up. It's a lovely old building, once one of the county's neighborhood schools before all the county schools were incorporated into one location. It has since been turned into a restaurant and inn. I've not stayed there, as I live in the area, but I have eaten there and recently threw a party there in one of the dining rooms. The decor is modern and serene. The service is friendly but non-intrusive. The menu features local and seasonal fare, so it changes from time to time. Everything runs well under the watchful eye of its gracious owner Reem.

It’s South Beach meets Flint Hill. Great ambience - high ceilings, various dining rooms, as well as a sexy bar in the back room. A thoughtfully inspired menu, and great service. Beautiful back patio with a garden path and a couple of gazebos with seating. So nice to have a destination restaurant in the country again!

If you want a 5 star dining experience, this is your place. A nice mix of old and new with local art displayed throughout. Great local brews, wines, and cuisine. You won't find a more professional, friendly, and helpful staff anywhere. The food was top notch and we fed a group of 40 in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. The accommodations at the inn where beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

We absolutely love this place. Have some wine from the local winery and then finish off with dinner here. Prices for taste is one of the best we've had in Northern VA. The menu appears to change seasonally as this is our second time and what we had last time was completely different with the same great results.

Never been here, but it's got to be better than a tuna salad sandwich from Settles Gas Station down the street in Flint Hill. The view of Settle's used car lot isn't all that great so eat here instead, especially if you want to watch the sun go down over the Blue Ridge, which happens around dusk. Watch out for the crepusculars on Crest Hill and 522.

pricy but the sandwiches are all around 10 bucks and real good. i had the fried oysters as an appetizer and they were great, and the rueben as a entree. one of the better reubens ive had.

This is a very cute place to stay. Very clean, easy check in and out. Complimentary coffee and snacks. The beds are super comfy and I love that they are pet friendly.

Flint Hill Public House is an awesome spot to visit with friends and family. The staff is warm and friendly and always accommodating.

Wonderful food and view. Chef Marvin is the best! Highly recommend to anybody passing through the Front Royal area.

The ribs in the combination starter were among the best I've ever had. The cocktails were pretty stellar too!

Great food in a pleasant location. We sat on the patio in the shade and enjoyed lunch.
