What a neighbourhood gem! Such a Nice surprise to find on the little Main Street. Super welcoming and kind family / team - we wandered in on a quiet Sunday between church services - excellent meals. My friend particularly loved her “Big Mic” ( haha from “Coming to America”) she said it was so flavorful and juicy. I loved the pulled pork and fries and coleslaw! Def recommend! Will come back anytime I make it down from DC; my local Friend (who is sold) will return asap he said! Great visit to this delish place. Note: also saw their great food truck in Manteo that even for NYE! :-0

5 for service and atmosphere. Staff was very attentive. Owner talked with everyone and truly cared about the dining experience. Clean and inviting atmosphere. 4 for the food only because they were serving a delicious Sunday buffet for the locals getting out of church, which is a good thing but no pork BBQ nor brisket was on the available menu. I am sure I will be coming back and I can change the 4 to a 5. Update on 11/25/2023: Changed food from a 4 to a 5. Chopped pork BBQ sandwich and brisket cheesesteak are excellent. Tender and tasty. Would probably give the service a 6 out of 5 if I could. Owner is certainly proud of what he provides to the community and to the patrons, but he has every right to be. It is evident that the community appreciates what he brings to the community based on the good size crowd during a non-tourist season.

My husband and I love Stick Burning BBQ!! We plan our trips to the Outer Banks so we can stop in for lunch. Everything we have tried is fantastic! My favorite is the brisket sandwich and mac and cheese, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Go EARLY. Otherwise you'll get frustrated by all of the red "sold" stickers 😂. Whatever you order will be delicious. Great staff with smiling faces.

We passed by Stick Burning while taking our dog for a ride and decided to try a plate. The pulled pork was cooked very well and the French fries were nice fresh cut and seemed to be fried to order. The owner greeted me upon entering the restaurant and was very friendly. Unfortunately they were out of Mac and cheese, so be sure to get there early if you want something specific.

We had the brisket sandwich and pit beans with Mac and cheese. The brisket was outstanding great flavor with a mix of flavors including the onions.
And finished off with the banana pudding!!!

I stopped in right at lunchtime, as to be expected, there was a line to the front door. The friendly staff moved efficiently through the line. 30 minutes from arrival until I left with a full belly. I opted for brisket cheesesteak with Mac and cheese and a sweet tea. With tip, it was $20. (Bring cash for the tip) This brisket will elevate your expectations of what you think good brisket is! No kidding! It is so good, I no longer even consider going anywhere else because I know I’ll be let down. From now on, just get in the truck and go to Stick Burning BBQ! Next visit, I’m trying the brisket nachos. Give them a follow, and they regularly post where the food truck will be too. You will not be disappointed!

Some people say treat you like family. Well at Stick Burning they don’t just treat you like family they feed you like family. Awesome place with great food and great prices. Recommend if you are traveling through Columbia or see the food truck it’s a must stop and get some delicious food.

Hands down, this is the best BBQ on the beach! If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out! They have some of the absolute best burnt ends, the jerk pork, the brisket sandwiches… it’s all delicious! You can tell that this BBQ is made with love and soul, and the Cressel family makes sure to talk and get to know each person that comes up to their window, giving them that extra touch of southern hospitality!

Delicious food and an awesome staff. You definitely need to stop at this place for barbecue. Don’t miss this one!!!!

Great place to stop into Outer Banks or on the way out. Best BBQ I’ve eaten! Great customer service. We will be back!

Food was great and reasonably priced! Nice little spot in historic downtown Columbia. First time here but excited to come back and try other options. This is now my top reccomendation for a bite to eat between Raleigh and the OBX!

I can't eat anything here being a vegan, but the people here are AMAZING! The locals love to eat here. They are regulars. I enjoyed the company, the kindness, friendliness, and the upbeat happy vibe of this place. I had to give the food one star, but maybe next visit, I can actually critique it to star it!

Finally, I got to taste the brisket today st the Wanchese craft fair and it was worth the wait! My work hours don't always coincide with yours, which is completely understandable. I'm so glad I finally got a taste. Tender, cooked to perfection! I will try harder to get to your location soon:)

The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. It was my first time stopping here so I decided to get the burnt ends and the mac n' cheese. First of all, the plate came with a healthy mound of burnt ends and a big portion of mac n cheese. The bark on the burnt ends was perfect, as well as the smokiness. Perfectly tender and juicy. The mac was creamy, cheesy and delicious. I can eat a lot, but this was definitely two meals worth of food. I wasn't too crazy about the BBQ sauces (which wasn't necessary anyway because the food was already so good), and I'm from Ohio, so I can't be a proper judge on Carolina BBQ sauce. All that being said, this will be a new stop for me any time I pass through Columbia.

Definitely stop here if you are traveling and hungry. You will not be disappointed!!

Wow, this local bbq spot is amazing! We stopped through on our way at to southern shores and were blown away by how great this place was. We got the Mac n cheese (incredible), beans (a bit spicy and not too sweet), chicken cue sandwich and the smoked chicken salad sandwich (both were delicious). We were there with our small child and they had high chairs which we appreciated! The wait staff was super friendly and our food was ready quickly. I would highly recommend making a visit here to support a local spot and get some top notch barbecue!

Great prices, Brisket was on point, the slaw was amazing, ribs fell right off the bone! Friendly people, Absolutely worth stopping in!

First off let's talk about the juiciest most flavorful brisket I have ever tasted. Beautiful bark, smoke ring was amazing and down right juicy. Them burnt ends are delicious as well. Staff was very friendly and attentive. All around great food from the meats to the sides they will not disappoint. Portions are also plenty. Can't wait to go back.

Great smash burgers and chips. Friendly owners. They gave us each a complimentary piece of cheesecake from Valentine's Day.
