Mexico Point State Park

The park is located on Lake Ontario. There are two entrances, one for the boat launch, and one for the park. There isn't a way to get from one side to the other without driving around to the other entrance.
The park has a couple of different trails, they are easy to navigate and have mostly level terrain. The shorter trail runs along the creek and loops around the grave of Silas Towne, a Revolutionary War spy. The other trail is a nature trail, it is well-marked and just under a mile long.
The park also has a beach for swimming and a picnic area that is open in the summer. There is an area for dogs also.
Don't miss the sun setting over the lake!

Absolutely love this place . The grounds lady is very polite and it’s very neatly kept . Trails to walk on and a beach and stone wall u can walk out on . Fishing’s great

Great place to go boating/kayaking. It also has a decent short hiking trail.

Super cute park and very well managed. The buildings are in really good shape, new picnic tables, and swimming area. There is a rich history in the area and the hiking trails lead you out to a monument. It would be a great spot for an outdoor wedding at the pavilion with the courtyard. Just a very beautiful place to visit.

Nice park, very quiet, never too many people there. Wish they had camping spots, there's definitely some room.

VERY CUTE LITTLE PARK CAW CAW, THERE IS A SMALL NATURE TRAIL ATTACHED TO IT BUT THE MAIN REASON YOU COME HERE IS TO GET CLOSE TO THE WATER CAW CAW

THERE IS A FAMOUS BOXER HERE, IN STATUE FORM CAW CAW. DON'T DRIVE ON THE PRIVATE ROAD THAT IS RIGHT NEAR THE PARK CAW CAW. PEOPLE WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY CAW CAW.

Beautiful history about spies and the Mohawk chief siding with the British.

Such a gorgeous place and so very clean! We enjoyed walking along the beach and looking thru the rocks to find some cool colored rocks. The weather was so nice and it is such a nice piece of history as well!

This is a very clean, well kept park. There are many places to walk, along with the beach that's good for relaxing in the sun. I have found fossils in the rocks on the shoreline, some small and some large with great definition. Highly recommend it!

1100am to 700pm free to park and swim, best park in the area for a day trip. 2 sides of river though boat launch is on east side of river. Got to pay for that, sick with the west side for free swim

Hidden gem! Very peaceful area but beware, it’s a rocky beach, not sandy!

Love this spot for photoshoots and just fun. Great to bring the family for the beach, or a hike. Or you can host your event here.

Off the beaten path, this is an easy to miss yet a gem worth a side trip. The beach on the lake combined with Spy Island, will take at least two hours to get a real appreciation of everything this park has to offer. I enjoyed part of my afternoon visiting on my way to my final destination.
