A1 Appliance Chanute

Bought a dishwasher. Fair price. In very good condition.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: $250 dryer was a trash purchase. If you want to buy an appliance from a shady local buisness, read on. I took the trash dryer that i bought from A1 Appliance in Chanute KS to reputable appliace repair shop thinking it would be cheap enough to get it fixed correctly. Here's what we found. The motor assembly was from an incompatable dryer brand. It looked like it had been retrieved from a landfil, the motor shaft was corroded almost all the way through. It was sheet metal screwed in place with 1 screw and while turned on bounced all over the place. The heating element was also from an incompatable dryer brand. It was too short to reach the rear housing or the front mounting location. No hardware was installed in it and it was just just laid in place. The wiring on the heating element was hooked up incorrectly due to being a wrong model for the dryer.
The thermistor was ziptied to the side of the motor and not installed in its location. Two of the 4 drum rollers were siezed and dragging on the drum. They put some kind of grease in the side of the drum so it would slide on the siezed rollers.
NOTE: The way the heating element and components were installed, I have been told would have most likely set the dryer/my house on fire if i had tried to dry a load of laundry with it.

Hindsight being what it is, I should have walked away when I wasn't able to see the thing running before I bought it. Their appliances don't come with cords or the "feet" under them. The top of the dryer had holes drilled in it and sheet metal screws installed to keep it in place.

They are also so shady they don't reply to the BBB.

Origional review. Bought a dryer here. Didn't work. Doesn't honor returns after having discussion about dryer and stating they were willing to refund. Disappointing that a local business will not honor their word. Reported them to BBB tp try and facilitate the return.
