My wife and I had a fantastic dinner experience at 131 Main! The atmosphere is perfect for upscale casual dining - inviting and stylish. Our server, Kellie, was top-notch. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our experience was great.

The food came out incredibly fast, in about 10 minutes, and everything was piping hot. We could tell the ingredients were fresh by the taste and perfect seasoning. I had the slow roasted chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken itself was juicy and flavorful, and the smashed potatoes were a perfect complement. My wife ordered the crabcakes, and they were loaded with succulent crabmeat. The sauce was also amazing!

We highly recommend 131 Main and will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

This restaurant was our first time eating here, and it was a very nice and enjoyable experience. When you enter, you're cordially greeted and seated in an adequate amount of time, especially when you have reservations. You're immediately greeted by your server. Our server was Shelby, who was the best. She was well informed about the menu and suggestions as to what we would like to eat

Our food arrived at the right time and temperature and was really great from appetizers' dinner to dessert it all
was a nice surprise as well and greatly appreciated
We also noticed how certain staff made sure things ran smoothly throughout the evening. Now that's five star

I recently visited a restaurant with my son to celebrate his 8th grade graduation and I must say, the atmosphere was just perfect. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right amount of lighting and music. As for the food, I ordered the rainbow trout and was not disappointed in the slightest. The trout was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, making each bite a delight. My son, on the other hand, opted for the classic cheeseburger and he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. The patty was juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh and perfectly layered. Lastly, the cornbread - oh my goodness, it was truly to die for. It was moist, slightly sweet, and had just the right amount of texture. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and atmosphere.

(Edited for date 2/25/24 visit) Fine dining but make it casual. Enjoyed the food we ordered as a first timer. Everything was delish! Cast-iron cornbread is a must for appetizer. I forgot to take a photo of it. We tried the grilled artichoke for appetizer and wasn’t for me. Halfway as we were eating I told my family I forgot to take a photo so they told me go for it, so our food was already dugged into 🤭 - Thai steak salad, Ahi tuna salad, Blackened chicken pasta and homemade fries. Our server Knox was friendly and very accommodating, would want him to be our server again. Definitely recommend coming here as the food came out fresh, hot and flavorful.

Appetizers: Deviled eggs were seasoned to perfection and fresh chips with a trio of dips (pimento cheese, guacamole, salsa)

The cast iron corn bread was hot, melty, and moist. The cheese and green chilies were so tasty! It came with delicious honey to drizzle over it and we couldn't get enough of it.

Mains: Blackened scallops were cooked perfectly and portions were plentiful, polenta wedges that accompanied it had so much flavor, kale salad was absolutely amazing!

Danish baby back ribs were cooked perfectly and fell right off the bone, just enough sauce on them as well.

Big island ribeye steak had a pineapple and soy marinade that complimented the beef so well. Husband was very impressed, and he's a big steak guy.

Cedar plank salmon was very tasty and the portion size was very nice!

Maryland crab cakes were huge and so tasty! Absolutely bursting with real crab.

Kids meals were adult sized hot dogs, on freshly buttered and grilled buns with shoestring french fries and they loved them.

Cocktails:
Absolutely get the Burning Chair if you like a bourbon, amaretto, ginger based drink with delicious hints of cherry.

The Old Fashioned was made extremely well and included Elijah Craig Small Batch.

This is one of my boyfriend and I’d favorite restaurants. I use to work here and I’ve come here dozens of times. The food is always done well. The Double Dip, Crab Cake Salad, and Peanut Butter Pie are some of our go tos. The soups are always great and I love their cappuccinos for after dinner. The only thing I don’t like about this place is there drinks. I’ve never enjoyed any cocktail or wine I’ve ordered here.

Absolutely get a reservation. Very packed for a Wednesday night. Food was excellent! Service was good and the atmosphere is nice. Group of 6 and spent approx $650 which was no surprise.

The food and atmosphere is acceptable for a fine dining restaurant. Food is decent, but nothing too special. The staff are hard working and caring.

We’ve been to all the 131’s and this place is unique. The food is always the same wether you’re in Asheville or the Charlotte area. Service was perfect as usual and the food was spot on. We will be back. Only 10 miles for us.

This is a great spot. Came here for a celebratory lunch with some coworkers and the service from start to finish was amazing. Coming from a background of working in a restaurant very similar to this in OH I was pleasantly surprised by the staff’s attentiveness and manners. You don’t get this much after COVID. To start off, we got the Ahi Tuna starch which was presented beautifully and the tuna paired well with the mango salsa and aioli. I got the special of Halibut tacos. It was well plated with great portion sizes. I also got the espressotini which I would recommend to anyone who likes coffee.
Those with me ordered the blackened chicken pasta, deviled eggs, slow roasted chicken, and the rainbow trout.
Everyone loved what they received and portion sizes matched well.

Best cooked salmon. Best tasting crabcakes (even though they have gotten smaller over the years). Best kale salad ever. Just really good food! Great service always.

Their specialty dishes are incredible and the staff's attention to detail is especially commendable. 131 MAIN is the perfect place for a memorable meal with friends or family!

This was my first time visiting 131 Main. The food and the service was awesome. Our server Shelby was extremely helpful with the menu. Make sure you try the cornbread for a starter.

Had an outstanding date night with my beautiful wife. 131 Main understands the fundamentals behind a perfect evening. Consistency in unsurpassed service (thank you so much Lira for your wonderful table service), perfectly cooked food (thank you to the chef for the Blackened Scallops and Big Island Ribeye), and an always enchanting ambience. Five stars....always.

The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating to our needs. It was my first time there and my fiancé and I were celebrating our anniversary together. It was really nice and she made it even more special by getting us a free dessert. The ambiance was nice and very moody at night. Everybody was professional and the total price for everything at the end wasn’t as expensive as I thought despite us buying a few drinks and an appetizer. The cast iron cornbread is DEFINITELY something that you should consider checking out while you’re there and their spring water is fantastic! Will definitely be returning for more!

Exquisite! Maria took incredibly good care of me while I feasted on a tuna tower followed by the best side salad I’ve ever had. The crisp cabbage really set this one apart and the house dressing was delicious.

My ribeye was cooked to perfection (at least in my eyes), Pittsburgh medium rare. I opted for the cheese grits and they were just the right amount of rich and savory to not overpower but leave your mouth watering.

I was given a Key Lime pie that I was told was extra, but I think my many compliments may have helped. It. was. so. good. The crust was crumbly, the key lime flavor was authentic and the whipped cream was light and not too sweet.

This place is clearly hitting on all cylinders. Could not have had a better dinner and could not more highly recommend.

We went for lunch around 1 pm on a Saturday. Food portion was generous and all dishes were nicely presented. Did not have to wait long for the food to come out. Waiter and staff were friendly. Nice dining atmosphere, lights were slightly dimmed and that created a comfortable experience. We ordered the cast iron skillet cornbread with a side of honey and it was delish!! Must try if you haven't! The artichoke appetizer was not as expected, barely any artichoke heart inside but the cornbread made up for it. We also ordered the shrimp and grits, Thai steak salad, halibut taco with side of wild rice. It was all very good and we were satisfied with our first visit. Will definitely come back again for lunch and also try out the dinner menu too!

We had Gabrielle on my birthday and she was wonderful! The food is always delicious. A little expensive on some things but so worth it. The banana cream pie is great and I am a southern girl who doesn't like banana pudding.

A very pleasant dining experience. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I encourage you make dinner reservations before coming. The food is expensive, so I can’t make this a frequent visit, but will return every now and then because it’s such a nice place to dine at. Keep up the good work and keep the high standard!
