Lakeview Restaurant

Took the “slow road” home instead of the interstate. So glad we did. This place is amazing. Best pork tenderloin sandwich I’ve her had! The Mrs said the fried chicken was excellent also. Great service and atmosphere! Will absolutely make the 1hr+ drive back! Outstanding!

Stopped in for late lunch/early dinner. Beef Manhattan was delicious!!! Smoked Gouda Mac-n-Chz bites were amazing! Definitely worth the drive to eat here!!! Large portions too!

It's a bit pricey but Lakeview has the best fried pickles and they're great with ranch :) Had breakfast there this morning wasn't many other people there. The servers were rlly fast and the waitress got me a refill without me asking whoa <3 Biscuits and gravy are REAL good and so is the French Toast :) Very nice service from all employees made my morning 5 billion times better! Better then Lumpys ngl. I HIGHLY recommend a visit any time of day :) Sorry I didn't take any pics have fun <3

Friendly, clean, and delicious. We went for lunch before the eclipse, and they were wonderful. I had a delicious shrimp po boy with broccoli cheese soup, husband had beef Manhattan, and my son had the fried steak with waffle fries. Quick refills, great service. I went with a party of 16 (baby + 15) and everyone enjoyed the food. Loved the indoor patio seating. Overall great experience. Highly recommend!

Got the country ham breakfast. The ham was the star of the show it came out on its own plate and it was a generous portion and fairly thick and delicious. I shared some of it with my wife. Meal also came with 2 eggs and got the home fries which were seasoned and very good as well. Also came with a biscuit I got a side of gravy for it and it was good too. My wife got 2 eggs bacon and home fries and a pancake. She split pancake with me and it was good and the syrup was good and sweet as well. The service was awesome as well her name was Sarah and coffee never emptied till I was leaving. Best breakfast I had in a while and we will be back.

The portions were huge. My mom ordered the pork tenderloin with onion rings and I got the country fried chicken. Both were delicious. Our waitress was excellent. We will definitely be back!

We stopped on Saturday for an early dinner on our way home from the antique mall. We love the ambiance of this little place and I’m glad it hasn’t been changed into something sleek and modern. We love the booths and It’s cozy and comfortable with a great view of the lake. The staff are great and make you feel like family. The food is always delicious but yesterday it was just outstanding. We had the chicken wings as an appetizer, I had the patty melt and my husband had the BLT and a bowl of chili. In our defense it was our only meal of the day and we did bring home leftovers. This little gem is about an hour drive for us but it’s worth it. Oh, I forgot to mention they have homemade pie.👍

The country fried steak was massive and delicious. Even though we arrived within an hour of closing, the staff was friendly, the food was fresh, and we weren't rushed to leave. 10 out of 10 would recommend 👌 👏

One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long while. I had the mushroom Swiss burger (no bun) that had an above average tomato, lettuce, pickle setup. Burger was hand-pattied & onion rings as a delicious & generously-portioned side. Others in my party opted for fried chicken & everyone was satisfied and leftovers to bring home. We also brought home 3 delicious home baked slices of pie: pecan, chocolate peanut butter & cherry rhubarb berry pie. Service was outstanding and efficient with drinks refilled quickly & check presented in a timely manner.

I haven't eaten here since I was a kid. I knew they closed down and later reopened. They did not disappoint. We had the shrimp scampi as an appetizer. It was great. I ordered the Patty Melt Sandwich and Onion Rings and Coke Zero. It was all delicious. They did serve quite a bit of food, but I was able to eat it all. I probably would come back again if I am in the neighborhood.

We went here for the 2024 solar eclipse and had a great time

A shout-out to Lisa our server who gave us some of the sweetest hospitality we ever got at a diner. She said we could watch the eclipse around the lake and could even come inside to use the restrooms after they close at 3:00pm.

The food is consistently great. The wait staff is always exceptional, especially if you get Amanda. When the weather is nice enjoying lunch on the patio overlooking the lake is relaxing. Have recommended to my out of town friends.

Thank you for staying open during the solar eclipse as it was on a Monday. I appreciate the very friendly service and the food was good. This restaurant is near a view of a beautiful small lake with koi fish and ducks however it's privately owned.

Absolutely knocked out socks off!! Beautiful scenery, fantastic service, and food so good, makes your tongue slap you in the face! Fried chicken changed my life!! Huge portions! Shyann was absolutely fabulous!! Would highly recommend!! 5 stars!!!

Waitresses are always friendly, and you receive great service. Drinks are always full. The restaurant is clean, and there is a lakeview. I measure all other servers by the ladies at Lakeview.

Enjoy their specials and desserts. The staff is polite and always friendly. They get busy!! But always superb service!! Love the appetizers

Found this gem of a place while passing through Indiana on my road trip . Gorgeous view , great food and super friendly service. I felt it’s been visited by regulars so they must be keeping their the quality right up . Definitely recommend giving it a try !

This is one of my family's favorite restaurants. I have 2 small children and the selection is so good that we can all find something to eat. The staff is friendly and the prices are more than fair. The expanded lunch/dinner menu has been great as well!

Our meals were very good wife had chicken wrap and house chips, I hand breaded tenderloin and fries, we shared the brownies and ice cream. Service was good, restaurant and grounds were clean will go back
