Platte River Trailhead

Beautiful Sunday hike. Seeing the river frozen so thin and completely covered in some parts was something else.
Nice hikes and lots of good views. Don't forget your spikes if you go in the winter.

Kids loved it, so did the dog. Even Wampa our dog had a good time.

Beautiful trail. Hike is near the river at the end.

My favorite place. There is no camping, and the official campground is always booked (but by all means try to get a spot). Come early to set up your day spot. It can get pretty full
Bring a canopy or umbrella as there isn't much shade close to the river. Lots of dogs 🐕 but everyone gets generally along.

I like this hike. It is around 7 miles but no long up or down. You get a decent workout and then you have the river as a destination.

This is and unusually fun and easy Colorado trail. maps elevation gains are tech at first but my kind of run.

It's a good place to get lost great place to go for really long hikes fish hang out
