Dan's Diner

Have to say I feel like I found a hidden gem today. My wife and I stopped in randomly around 10:50 on a Sunday morning. She ordered a breakfast waffles bacon and eggs... And I opted for a hamburger broccoli salad and a good old fashioned strawberry shake. Wow... Super impressed with the service and quality of the food. Everything is just as you might have imagined in a '50s diner with excellence as their motto.

Fantastic little place! Super friendly staff, great menu, food was excellent. Loved the atmosphere. It's a little bit of drive for us, but we will happily make it again.

My husband and I stopped in this morning because we have been wanting to try Dan’s for a while now! The restaurant and restrooms were clean, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious! My husband wanted lunch and I wanted breakfast and we were pleased to see both options available. The portion sizes were good and we found the prices to be reasonable and less expensive than most other options in our area. The atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed the decor and music. Before we left, I got a milkshake to go and a T-shirt. We will definitely be back!!!

Summerdale has needed a sandwich shop for the longest time. The wait is over! Dan’s Diner is a HUGE hit. They’ve got a terrific menu of sandwiches, wraps, salads and flatbread pizzas. I highly recommend the Reuben with pork rinds. We also enjoyed the “Big Kid” grilled cheese, the pimento cheese with pita chips and hummus dip. They have ice cream too.

You’ll love the ambiance. It has the feel of a 60’s diner. Great food. Friendly staff. You’ll keep coming back again and again.

Came in to finally try Chef Navarro’s venture. Did not disappoint is an understatement. A must try for those into retro dinner with awesome food. Kids loved it. Decor and music added to the experience. Friendly staff.

Stopped by Dan’s for breakfast, we were offered a warm greeting even though they were busy. The place is neigh and clean and the decor is on point. The owner is a very experienced chef and I translates into his food, which was fabulous. Everything tasted so good and it was not greasy. The food is well priced and the portions are generous. Had a milkshake at the end to cap it off. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Dan for being so welcoming and patient!

Nice little Veteran-owned diner in downtown Summerdale, located between a barber shop and an attorney. I had a chicken salad croissant, and hubby had "the best Reuben he's had in a long time". Chef Dan even checked up on us to make sure we were satisfied. We will be back, for sure!

Adorable little diner in Summerdale. We wanted a fun local place to eat and Dan’s Diner didn’t disappoint. Everything was very fresh and cooked well. They have an all day breakfast menu which is a huge plus. Our party got the roast beef dip, burger, pizza and breakfast sandwiches oh and milkshakes. All of our plates were wiped clean, you can tell the owner really cares and he and his waitress were both friendly and attentive. If you want to support a local business with great food Dan’s Diner is an A plus in my book. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Our first time eating at Dan's and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming through Summerdale. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and the food was great! I really enjoyed my Santa Fe Wrap and the broccoli salad was perfect!

Drove through Summerdale AL on our way to vacation. Dan's Diner was everything we could ask for. Everything our group of 7 ordered was phenomenal. Dan gave incredible service as well as the lady running the register.

Cool atmosphere. Food is tasty. Chose the Santa fe wrap. Nice fresh ingredients. Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Will be back to try everything on the menu because it all sounds good.

This was our second time at Dan’s and we loved it! I had the burger with bacon and bacon jam and he had the kids pizza with ice cream for dessert. The staff is so friendly and the owner seems like such a nice guy. I hope this place is here for many many years to come. It’s so nice having a good lunch spot like this so close to home!

Our British car club meet for breakfast in this 50's themed dinner. It is a bright, cheerful and clean restaurant and I can highly recommend the corned beef hash and eggs.

The shrimp and grits are phenomenal, awesome food, awesome atmosphere, 10/10.

Dine at Dan's! Stopped by this hip little diner for lunch after visiting Alligator Alley. Dan and staff make awesome sandwiches and wraps, fantastic potato salad and tasty, tangy cucumber salad. They're welcoming to everyone, service is fast and friendly, the diner is clean and smartly decorated, and there's plenty of parking. The ultimate mom and pop diner. We'll be back!

My wife and I ate here on January 11. The food was great, the place is spotless, and Dan and staff are very friendly. We will be back when we are in the area.
