I love The Golden Cleat and the Thousand Isalnds! My husband and I frequent Clayton, Alexandria Bay, and Cape Vincent, often.

Love, love, love this store! My favorite shop of all stores visited while traveling by boat on The Great Loop. Adorable and well made products, charming store, professional staff, and excellent customer service both in store and online when purchasing more items from afar. I literally came to the store 4 times while in town to purchase more items for myself and perfect gifts! Shopping online now that I’ve realized that my boating wardrobe requires more cleat and shoal finder emblems. :)). The Golden Cleat will not disappoint!

We were impressed with the quality of the products and the amazing customer service we experienced during our time in the store. Beautiful original handmade jewelry. Much of their jewelry has a nautical theme which is appropriate since it is located on the St. Lawrence River! Their customer service rates 6 stars. They are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Immediately regretted purchase of 14k gold chain bracelet and charms. I don’t begrudge a reasonable retail markup, but when I found out what actual wholesale price of the charms to this shop were, I felt sick. I have since found components of this piece of jewelry on Etsy for much less. I enjoy buying from local stores but don’t feel good about this purchase at all. I am not a local, but I do support smaller businesses wherever I am. Shop accepts no returns.

I purchased one of their gemstone bracelets, it was expensive but I really liked it. A year later I noticed a large space between the gems. Either the wire stretched or the stones broke and came off. I went back to the store to see if I could have it restrung and fixed. I was told they don't do repairs on the bracelet and I would have to buy a new one, which I refused to do so. About a month later it broke off and I lost it.
Extremely disappointed they don't stand by their products, I will never buy from them again nor will I recommend them.

Buyer Beware!! No Refunds, only exchanges. It is posted, but in a tiny size font on the corner of the counter, some distance from the register! Not a happy shopper!
