Bird's Nest Farm The Cafe

Great little place to grab a bite to eat and feel like you're in a 30's restaurant. I heard some stories while I was inside the restaurant about how it use to be a hotel and a restaurant. I ate breakfast and got the Down Farm omelet and everything was delicious and the home fries were an amazing added bonus! Bacon was crisped to perfection! Will definitely be back for lunch! Kailyn was a great waitress and the rest of the staff was very helpful and courteous!

Lovely little café. Wonderful breakfast. The fruit cup is really good if you like that sort of thing. I'm more of a bacon & eggs sort of guy, but that's good too. I'd recommend the French Toast especially. Enjoy!

Quaint and charming cafe. Pastries and baked goods greet you at the front door.
The chicken and corn soup in a bread bowl was a perfect lunch and left room for one of the tastiest cream puffs I've eaten. Pastry was flaky and cream filling light and sweet.

My friends and I shared a lovely breakfast here on a Sunday morning. The ambiance and attention to decoration are delightful! The only thing better than the farmhouse feel was the number of options on the menu. We each changed our minds multiple times! The prices were very reasonable and quality and presentation was wonderful. Save room for dessert as there are many tantalizing baked goods!

Had a great lunch here though. Egg salad sandwich was on point.

Great lunch! The coleslaw was delicious. It was vinegar based and not the crappy mayonnaise version. It was the best that I ever had. The fried was perfectly cooked tender but not greasey. However, the desserts were the star. All of the cookies, cakes and pies were wonderful, and they had many different flavors. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and well worth the trip off of the turnpike.

Absolutely LOVED this place!! It is so wonderful to walk into a small local place, not knowing what to expect, and be completely thrilled by everything. And to top it off, I have never had peach pie that was so delicious. My wife and I travel regularly between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and we will be planning future trips to include a stop here.

Quaint little find in Bedford! We were passing through and wanted to stop for breakfast and were looking for a non chain local restaurant. Bird Nest did not disappoint and my husband and I both ordered omelets which were delicious! The service was great and our coffee cups stayed full! Loved the fresh flowers on each table😊

I travel a bit for my job and I've always enjoyed stopping in Bedford when going through that way. It's a quiet small town with a beautiful appeal and nice selection of local owned shops from coffee, to juice bars, to this wonderful cafe (great place to stretch your legs too)!

I stopped in yesterday to grab a bite for my firat time and was floored by the quality of the cafe. Phenomenal desserts, fantastic gourmet homemade soups, everything was over the top wonderful. It was so good we asked to chat with the owner who was a gentleman and was extremely friendly.

The experience was so good the person I was traveling with and I decided to stop by again this afternoon on our way back through Bedford. We intentionally planned our arrival time to enjoy a late lunch again! Still fantastic, and the desserts I can't even express the quality! The selection is over the top! Each thing we had was as good as the last if not better!

I promise every time I travel by Bedford I will be stopping here. Thank you!

Loved this little eatery in Bedford. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast here after an overnight stay at Bedford Springs. Save yourself from an overpriced meal at the Resort and patronize the Bird's Nest instead. You'll thank me later. I'll definitely be back.

This my favorite restaurant to visit when I visit Bedford. The tin ceiling is beautiful and the rest of their decor makes you real like you are in a country home. I highly recommend that you take a box of napoleon cookies with you. You can't go wrong with their food, because it's delicious and their coffee is quite tasty.

Whenever I'm in the vicinity of Bedford I stop here. I had a black and blue burger with fries. Burger was cooked to order and easily a half pound. The bleu cheese was mixed with the burger and sprinkled on top. Other half had a grilled chicken salad topped with blueberries. Everything was excellent, and their homemade baked goods are to die for. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meals at The Birds Nest! The Tomato soup was really good, and the chocolate cake with PB icing was the BEST!!! The Strawberry Chicken Salad was also really good!!

A wonderful family breakfast at Bird's Nest today. Great service. Plenty of choices. Good food. Generous portions. Extremely reasonable prices. Clean, attractive decor. A definite 5 stars.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael @Birds Nest Cafe for catering a surprise birthday/retirement party for us. He was wonderful to work with starting with all the emails and phone calls, delivering the food promptly. To top it off the food was excellent.

Always a delightful place to visit with my wife. Well worth the $$ and time!

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on our way through town, and this might be the most charming cafe I've seen. The food was very good, wife got the farmers breakfast and I got the salmon dish, both were excellent.

We really enjoyed Bird’s Nest Farm. We had soup and sandwiches for lunch. Food was great, prompt and our server was friendly and properly attentive. A little gem. We will back.
