Great customer service. Helped me pick out a new rod at a good price, and took care of an issue I had with professionalism that exceeded my expectations. I have shopped here a few times before and they earned a customer for life.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I thought it was important to recognize the awesome service I got at the Reel Seat this week. I walked into the store with a plan to buy a certain setup and ended up with something different after some advising and testing with Eric. I really appreciate Eric revising what I originally wanted into something much more appropriate. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I got a properly matched rod and reel for the fish I’m targeting. I’m glad didn’t try to purchase a rod to try to cover everything and that Eric talked me out of that Swiss Army knife jigging rod.

So this place was already a top-tier tackle shop and that was before the new remodel. It’s one of the best in the state without a doubt. For me personally, my favorite thing about The Reel Seat is they have the widest selection of soft plastics I’ve seen available at any shop. Also, they seem to always be one of the first to get any new “hot” item or plug. Lastly, I have had some great fishing convos with a gentleman there who works the register I believe his name is Dominic. Redfin/Redgil was the secret topic lol.

What a great shop and a great group of guys! Its a tackle Wonderland and the very helpful crew made the experience even better. I stopped in for bait and tackle before an offshore trip. I purchased a coup[le of new reels and had them respool a couple others. The team was knowledgeable and professional and stayed after closing to make sure everything was perfect.

If you need it they got it Topnotch knowledge of the area along with the tools to provide you a successful outing on your next adventure

Been coming here for years. In my opinion they are the best shop in the state. Extremely knowledgeable staff with a great selection of tackle that many places don’t carry.

Fished at Manasquan inlet for the first time this weekend, on the way back decided to stop by at Reel seat to replenish on some John Skinner bucktails. The store has everything a beach surf fisherman would want and more. Dealt with a guy with beard there and he was super helpful. I’m a little new to surf fishing so had a lot of noob questions which he answered and then pointed me to some products that would help me for the species I was targeting.

Highly recommend this shop. Will be back again. Look for the guy with the beard!

These guys are hands down Some of the best in the business. Super knowledgeable and they have practically everything you can imagine, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for they’ll order it just for you.

Great selection, they have everything you could possibly need and fair pricing. Got two reels spoiled up and they are tight and ready for some Fall action. Would highly recommend if you're in the Belmar area.

Very well equipped tackle store, the owner was very knowledgeable and was willing to share his knowledge. This is not always the case in other good tackle stores. Recommend highly the reel seat tackle store for any type of purchasing fishing tackle.

One of the best in the area. I grew up locally on the ocean fishing inshore mostly and recently bought a boat capable of doing canyon trips. The guys at Reel Seat are as knowledgeable as they come, they have custom made rigs built from years of experience in our local waters. Dave set me up with 5 penn 30vsx reels, shimano trevala trolling rods and full spreads for inshore bluefin and offshore trolls. I recently made my first trip out to the Texas Tower and had a fish on before I got the 4th rod set out.

I highly recommend them, prices are fair and you can't beat the experience these guys have.

This shop has everything you need for saltwater fish, in or off shore. The owner, Dave, is an angler himself and employs knowledgeable staff
