One of our favorite places in Colorado. Easy drive from FTC, not very deep into the canyon and stunning views. Fun for the whole family. Enough space to spread out when crowded. A must if you are in the area

Great start to the lower Poudre River Canyon. Stop in, bring your fly rod, drop a few flies into the awesome holding water above and below the campground, teach your kids to fish. Warm up then head up into the canyon. Great spot to get introduced to Poudre Canyon.

The waters are clear and the river is full! My dog loves to splash around and the friendly kayakers reminded me to grab mine next time and hop right in! Spring and Summer are the best time to visit.

Beatiful little picnic and rest stop area along the Poudre River
Has public bathrooms, lots of parking and dedicated parking for trailers.

You can tube down the river and get off here or just chill and picnic. BBQ grills are available and just Beatiful scenery all around and the roaring Poudre River.

One of my favorite spots up the canyon. Get there early in the morning if you want a good spot by the river to keep all day. Still a great place with plenty of picnic tables, grills and river access through out the day. Great for families with small children too, I have a 2 year old. The "sandy beach" like area is great for the kids too. As always, make sure to practice good River safety

Nice spot to have a picnic on the river and play around. It gets busy on the weekends. Sadly, a lot of black soot from the last year's fire upstream settled along the banks here, but it makes for some beautiful contrasts.

Worth the 6 dollars to park nestled in the poudre canyon if you arent paying attention u will miss the entrance. Georgous senery and trails amazing cheap esacape from fort collins if ever in the area it is well worth the fee to park good for day trip and picnics with families plenty of shade and perfect for pictures.

Excellent stop when venturing up the Cache la Poudre. Picnic table, "beach", place to dip your toes in the water, and beautiful view to match. Please leave no trace, clean up after yourselves, and enjoy nature.

15 mins away from Old town in Fort Collins Colorado! Super fun to cool off in the beautiful Cache La Poudre River all summer long! Picnic at one of the many benches or throw a hammock up in the tree and find some shade! ((Follow me and my dog on Instagram @ Ol_Huckleberry_Fin)). As for winter, time the ice is thick enough to walk and play on! Also a great spot for rock climbing!!! All this and more so close to town!

Great little spot for a picnic, outing. On the river. Swimming, rafting/tubing, picnic tables & grills/firepit. Not too overcrowded. Everyone was very friendly.

We pulled in here just to eat lunch before we hit the road again. This place is great. The area is very clean. The scenery is amazing.

Lovely spot to get in the river. Especially if you have kids there is a very gradual increase of depth and clearly visible areas of more shallow vs more deep water. Plenty of shade along the coast and a nice looking climbing route on the opposite bank.

Once in a life time experience, breathtaking. My family and I drove from Texas to Colorado to experience mountains. What a treat to be able to drive up the mountains to see great glory. Will never forget. Must see!!

Cool quite stop off the canyon road. Some picnic tables, some sandy but mostly rocky river beaches make this a great place to enjoy the Poudre.
