Saco River Canoe & Kayak

Excellent place to rent a canoe to travel the beautiful Saco River. Very knowledgeable mom and pap business.

This was our families first time on this end of the Saco. When we make our trip to North Conway in the Summer we always spend a day on the river. This time we decided to try the sections in nearby Maine. The trip was awesome and we will definitely be going back. It was well worth the additional 10-15 minutes you need to drive. Also a big shout out to Zach he was such a great help with the drop off, unloading our gear, and giving information about the river. Awesome trip.

I personally worked for this company for years and will tell u that the review written by Danielle is purely not true. The owners of this company have no problem telling people about the river conditions as a matter of fact they are one of the most knowledgeable companies in the area. I know that each group is told about what to look for and if the situation arises where they should be making camp (away from the banks of the river due to flooding or not on private beaches a map is shown and given to each group). Perhaps if people came to enjoy the river and not to trash it and came prepared for their trip there would be no issues at all. If you want grade A service visit this company for a trip down river.

Took a trip on the Saco. It's about 4-5 hours to float the 4 miles. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect your scalp and eyes from the sun otherwise you will get zorched. People are friendly and rambunctious on the water which is charming. I'm an expert in infection control and STRONGLY recommend bathing when you get home. I ended up with two nasty cysts. There are lots of factors contributing to risk of skin infection.

My husband and I vacation in North Conway, NH for a week every year. Every year we play on the Saco; be it canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, we do it all. Each year we have used a different company. We stumbled onto a gem!! This year we used Saco River Canoe and Kayak simply because all the NH companies were closed before Labor Day. We will be coming back again this summer just to use SRCK and camp along the river. Our experience with the owners was fantastic! Family run, friendly, passionate, and VERY knowledgeable about the Saco. They helped us plan the trip we both wanted; he wanted to canoe leisurely and stop frequently, I wanted to be in the canoe paddling like a mad woman until the sun went down. Our trip was highly enjoyable for both of us! The route was explained thoroughly, map very informative, and pick up plan simple. One of the ladies even pointed out where I could find bathrooms along the river! The personalized service we received has made us LIFETIME CUSTOMERS.
