Awesome model train store. Great selection of N gauge related stuff. Nolan is a great person and has very deep knowledge into the field.

Service counter is helpful in finding out what’s wrong with your train. There is a service fee if they have to do a real diagnostics test (around $20) but sometimes they’ll do a quick look.

Repairs ARE booked out a ways due to parts being back ordered.

This place was amazing. I came in here with little to no knowledge of trains. These guys knew everything I didn't feel like they were up selling me. They just gave me my best options. I'm so grateful of this business

A one stop shop for all your latest and greatest from Lionel /mth /atlas and many more in all scales N ho o g z
Great group of gentlemen that work the shop on both sales and tech side I have only ever had great experiences here at Eastside they do have layouts that feature the different scales that are offered within the hobby, as of 1/24/2024 the lay outs are not currently running i have found my new addiction and Eastside provides me my fix.

This is a great store. I’m an N Scale guy and they a decent selection, but for O Scale it’s very impressive. Sure, some of the staff can be a bit crusty, but I spent a lot of time ( and money) at Allied in LA so I’m use to crusty. It’s a really cool store. Ignore the reviews by the anti-mask idiots and come here for the trains.

Been a customer here since I was 4, Johnny and all the others that run this place have been very professional with what they deal with, never had any sorts of problems with stuff I've gotten from them, they have a decent selection for S scale trains and N Scale as well as O and HO Scale locomotives.

My husband has been shopping here for all his train needs since he was a child and it's still by far our favorite store. The staff are helpful and kind and there's always something new to put on our wishlist. They even take an interest in how our layout is coming along and what we have planned next!

For those upset about the mask requirement I would like to remind you that this is a private business so they do have the freedom to require masks. It's their comfort level and they've explained it's because of the age and health of the majority of the employees. Being a respectful person and adhering to this policy isn't difficult, even if you disagree with the requirement. I encourage those interested in what Eastside Trains has to offer to look past these one star reviews, put a mask on and check it out for yourselves. It really is a gem of a store.

If you have an old train, or want a new one, this is your place. Great selection, and the prices seemed very reasonable. I picked up a reconditioned transformer for much less than a new one costs on Am@z0n, and about the same as an eB@y purchase, but with fewer headaches, and supporting local business. They have a pretty great train table set up. The kids loved looking at it. Sadly, it wasn't running. But it was close to closing, so we didn't ask if they would run it for us. They have some really great condition post-war sets for great prices. If I was in the market, I think I'd get one of these rather than a new set.
The short of it: this is a great train shop. Check it out.

Amazing store to shop for trains all in all, they have a wide selection of trains and scales of trains. However they are not doing repairs at the moment, I would love for them to run the trains on the layout again.

One of the better hobby shops in the country. The staff are REALLY friendly and helpful. They not only offer great service and help with buying choices, they can help repair your trans and models too. This is a store worth visiting if you are in the area. I model HO and found the range quite good (locomotive range excellent, but rolling stock range a bit limited). The "O" scale and "G" scale inventory is the most impressive I've seen anywhere. This is a family-owned hobby shop that deserves a visit if you are in the area. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Eastside Trains has become an institution and I appreciate the massive stock of Lionel & O Gauge trains that they carry. I wish their hours catered more to hobbyists who work since they close at 5pm weekdays and are closed on Sunday.

Just went and bought some train sets for our little one. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. As soon as I bought them and got them home, my wife found that it costs less online in Amazon. But I have decided to not return the toys (which they agreed to with no penalty as we didn't open the boxes yet). You won't get the service when you buy this online.

Steve and his staff are a throwback to retail years gone by: skilled, knowledgeable and focused on their customers. The store is well stocked and their repair services can solve most issues. They are a credit to the hobby and we are lucky to have them in our area.

Awesome store for train loving kids and adults. Great selection from wooden Thomas and Friends trains on up to G gauge trains. Two huge train displays that will keep a train obsessed toddler entertained for quite awhile if you can convince one of the friendly staff to fire it up.
