Blue Rock State Park

This Park is so beautiful, if you like being out in the wilderness like I do. And there's an awesome creek to follow while walking you could wade in, in Summer. And they have the cutest log cabins to stay in too... definitely a must go back when the trees are fully in bloom!!! A 10+ for me!!!

Fun place for picnics, swimming, fishing, and cookouts! There are also public bathrooms and showers. It's handicap accessible but the ramp going down towards the beach is kind of steep.

The group camp area is nice, the bathrooms are modern and clean. The Naturalist is very friendly, informative and hard-working. The swim area is a little rough. I enjoyed the hiking trails.

Nice place for a family day on a nice weekend!

Very nice and secluded campground and beach.
The beach was one is the cleanest I have seen in a state park with regards to the sand and the water. Typically the water is a little murky, but the lake was very clear!
The campground is very rustic. No electricity is available. Water is available and a dump station. But the sites have no utilities. Cell phone coverage was nonexistent... at least for me. There was a pay phone available at the restroom. I have not seen one of those in a very long time!
I do not fish, but the creek that runs through the campground had a few folks fishing in it.
The beach had canoe rentals as well as ice cream!
Definitely a park to go if you really want to get away from it all!

Clean nice open spaces and it's free. I wouldn't get in the water bc it's lake water and I have eczema but the kids did and love it!

Swimming in the beach area is nice. Clean facilities. Fishing is decent again since draining the lake. It is our favorite place to camp. Secluded with nice hiking trails and fishing at the creek that runs through the grounds. The firetower is a nice visit if you dare to climb to the top. Boat rentals are cheap and fun.

One of the best parks I've been to. Very kid friendly and fun adventures. Very good staff . To the folks who live around the area............ real good people. Thanks for the wood and farm fresh eggs .........amazing hospitality. Go go go go go great spot for families.

Blue Rock is my personal favorite place to camp in Ohio.
Quiet, Spacious camp sites, a great atmosphere, showers and bathrooms are always clean, and the kids love hiking, swimming and meeting new people here.

A very well maintained state park. A beautiful and quiet afternoon here. Not overcrowded but a few people were here. And the facilities were clean and well maintained.
I didn’t see evidence that a lot of people have been going there and it’s not on the main highway but worth the drive to get to. A small lake and horseman camp is here.

Really nice state park. Clean facilities. Fishing pond. Easy hiking trails. We were like the only ones there in mid June. No noise.

We took the Little's to swim and went fishing and also. All had a good time.

Had a wonderful time with my two young boys. Park is very well cared for. It was clean. The new beach is still in great condition. Water 💧 was a tid bit too cold for me though... I stay on land and threw crackers to the penguins 🐧!... lol..jk it was cold though.

Went camping over labor day weekend. Peace and quiet very limited cell reception if needed. Only complaint was a fellow camper didn't shut off their generator at night so it was kind of annoying and hard to sleep. Other than that great time. Make sure to call ahead as all spots were taken. A Pretty relaxed pre-season atmosphere. Hiking in the line stands was beautiful. Not too many people there just yet. Definitely going back.

Blue Rock State Park is beautiful in the winter and snow covered. I'm sure in the summer it's a popular destination.

Wonderful little get away

Drive thru to check it out. Looks like we'll be taking the tent there soon. Not sure I would take the camper. Nicole at the camp store was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. Great selection of items, especially for a smaller park.

Tiffany I think was the name of the woman working the desk in the ice cream and camp store, she was wonderful to our family and so helpful! There was a group of us family camping for the weekend and everything was great! We will be back next year!
