Good food, good portions, not a super high end restaurant, very casual. Good prices. I'd go again.

Servies was very good, the waitress was very professional and good at speaking English and Spanish. The food is so good and authentic. I’m not even sure if the ingredients from this country or not. All in all very nice and a must go!

Great food and the people who work there are tremendous. You will not regret stoping in for a bite to eat!!

This restaurant is fantastic and authentic. The service was excellent and the food is amazing. Prices are reasonable. For truckers, they allow overnight parking. I highly recommend El Sarape!

On the 99 looking for food. This is the place to take a break and eat comfort Mexican food. Large tables for big families. Ugly outside but good / great food inside. I had the carne asada enchiladas with bean and rice.

Their wet burritos are the bomb. Their staff is super friendly. Even their chips and salsa were on point. I love small little hole in the wall places like this in small towns because their service makes you feel right at home and their prices are awesome for the quality. I even got a free re-fill on my Horchata which is rare because places usually charge for this! Will definitely be revisiting when I go back to Pixley.

El Sarape is the best Mexican restaurant in Tulare County in my humble opinion. The food is fantastic and the family who owns the restaurant are friendly and welcoming. I've been going there for 25 years and it never disappoints.

A must stop if you’re passing by on the 99. Authentic Mexican food & they make a damn good cheeseburger too. It’s no surprise the Gomez family has been in business for 25+ years.

If you’re vegan/vegetarian there are options available. No chicken stock in the rice here!

The best mexican restaurant in the central valley. Great food, margaritas and a very pleasant and clean environment. The service is outstanding along with the warmth and friendliness by this family-owned restaurant. Highly recommended.

There isn’t a ton of options in Pixley, but El Sarape doesn’t care! They’re high class anyway!
The food was delicious, and the service was just as pleasing. Whether your dining alone or with a group of 25 or more, El Sarape is ready and smiling with a clean table and a cold glass of Horchata!

We have been stopping at this place for years when we travel up and down California. They have a dish called Chili Con Queso Steak (or Chicken) that is fabulous. This is the only place I have ever found this dish (and I have been to ALOT of Mexican restaurants).

Love it! Been a favorite since I was a kid. Glad I was finally able to go since we moved back from Texas in 2019 and before we move back to Texas again.

Great customer service food was great! It was more on the Tex-Mex side than authentic Mexican but overall great experience.
