Pacific Union College Window Tree Valley

Great place to hike out to, through woods and fields galore. The legend of the window tree: a few decade ago, before being cut down and in it's prime, the window tree was the size of a five-story house. With picnic tables underneath it's branches, it was perfect for those summer days, looking over the fields that surrounded it. You could sit there for a long while and never get tired of the gentle breeze and the cool shade. What made this tree truly legendary was the fact that it has holes through to the top, where you can look to the sky, day or night, like a window. Just imagine, live music and lanterns hanging all around; the coziness of the tree, providing shelter under a clear night sky. Absolutely marvelous. BUT it's gone now, oh well; enjoy the hike!
