Good variety of bait, owner is very friendly.

This was out first stop in Rockport on the way to Port Aransas and Corpus Christi for fishing. Friends suggest this place. The croaker are cheaper here. We bought some and headed on. Four days later we came back to Mom's bait shop, but this time to buy some super sized table shrimp. The shrimp can be purchased with heads on for about $10 / pound. That was my plan, and it would not take too long to clean 10 pounds, but I decided not to get dirty and to pay an extra $3 pound for ready to go white shrimp. I think they were about 15 count (pieces per pound). Mom packed them on ice and we headed to San Antonio on our way to Georgetown. In San Antonio, I put them on a metal plan one layer deep and froze them. Then I vacuum packed them per pound. We had spicy shrimp and grits last night and they were delicious - tender and cooked up just right. I talked with Mom and she has been in business 22 years. Cute lady. I asked her for a picture. We will go back.

Huge live shrimp and crabs for a great price! Went to Beacons and they were much more expensive and the shrimp were tiny.

Owner is very knowledgeable. You can tell that many of the customers have been coming back for several years. The bait is fresh and good quality.
