Moondog Seaside Eatery

Came in here on a whim and we were not disappointed. Service from Rachel was excellent and the food was great. I had a starter size "Ribbers" and the Mrs had shrimp in a sauce with bread. A side of fries between us and a couple of cokes and we were good. Sat inside but finished off with our cokes out on the terrace. It overlooks the ocean and was fabulous. All in around $50 Highly recommended.

Had a great time at Moondog, then again we always do! The food is very good and reasonably priced for the portions you get.

The best place to sit is at the bar with the fabulous Brittany, or just beyond that on the outside deck.

Took my sugar daddy here for his birthday. There are so many places to sit and enjoy. Inside and outside seats. The food, service and atmosphere is great here. I really loved the look of the place, gives you a seaside tavern type feel. We will be back. My sugar daddy enjoyed his time too. 😋

We are from Portland,TX we have not been there for 7 years but our experience was awesome our server was great food and drinks were delicious and we will definitely be back! Thank you Connor you made our visit very pleasant. We look forward to seeing Connor again.

I went early this afternoon for supper. Service was friendly. I ordered the catch of the day which was grouper with big shrimp. It was so good. The shrimp was very tender and the fish very flaky. I had a side of Brussels sprouts and a side of fried okra. The okra could have cooked just a bit longer. The sprouts were fantastic! The atmosphere was fun. Sit outside on the patio. I wish I had.
My husband ordered a cheeseburger which he said had lots of flavor with a side of loaded baked potato.

OMG this place is seriously good. We had the pepper shrimp appetizer - which has the best sauce EVER. Hubby had the seafood array (fried) and said the fried oysters were amazing. I had the blackened catch of day … amazing too.
Server was attentive.
We sat inside because it was super windy.

I took friends to share this place. I'd been here before. The food was good. The drinks were good. Our waiter was funny, attentive, helpful & had a great personality. We couldn't ask for anything better.

I have been to Moondogs many times, today was wonderful! Soft bay breeze, A mimosa and hamburger! Burger was good fries were fantastic crispy hot and generous! Anna Marie was my waitress and she was so kind and friendly and efficient ! Thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻 great escape from the rat race of Austin!

Great food and service! We requested to be seated indoors with a view of the water, and we were accommodated nicely!

Great atmosphere & lovely staff. Love we could bring our fur babies with us & eat out on the patio. Great photo opportunities! Our waitress even brought out a bowl of water for them. Attentive and kind. The food was delicious!! I'm impressed my oldest actually finished his double meat burger & fries. It was pretty neat that the staff cheered him on to finish his meal... 😆 ... Absolutely will return!

Had the greatest time dining outside on the deck. Food was delicious! Funny bar stools, bar with tv/football. Dallas winning! Bloody Mary was amazing, I had to have a second one to make sure that it was as good as I was thinking, and it was. 😁 We had crab cakes, thumbs up, and soft shell crab...YES! Can't wait to come back!

My husband and son said it was the best grilled ship they have ever tasted (and they were huge). Plus I got to be with my puppy while we ate on the deck.

Fantastic place to eat! The atmosphere is really nice...it’s right on the water and surrounded by boats. The mahi tacos were really good! The Mac and cheese ranks as one of the best I have ever had! We had raw oysters as we watched boats unloading the fresh oysters from their morning catch! While the food is unbelievable...it’s the entire experience that makes this place special! I highly recommend visiting this establishment!

Great service, comfortable vibe and the food was very good. They are right on the water and you can side inside or out. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were very tasty, as was the pecan pie for dessert

This place has everything you want of a dockside joint. Food was really tasty, nothing fancy but fresh, well made! Our server Ian was the absolute best - you never get service like this anymore! Highly recommend , especially in the off season

Ate at Moon Dogs last night. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was Sheila. The three of us ordered a small brisket nacho to share (it’s a lot of food!) and our meals were the pulled pork tacos, the Brie chicken sandwhich, and the cracked pepper shrimp. Hubby had dressed XX,s, and Sheila brought him a fresh one when he had a quarter left without asking (I believe 4...lol). Great food, great service, really enjoyed our meal!! None of us could finish our food.... the nachos are a meal for 3 by themselves!!!

This place by far has the best seafood there grouper grilled was hands-down, the best
Their crabcakes was awesome as well and the wing staff there was really attentive to us. Our waitress made us feel welcome.

Our favorite place we ate at on my husbands vacation away from work. Turns out he will set in outside dining who knew. Lol... the food was top notch.

The food was fantastic with stellar service and the prices were reasonable.
However the implements were amusing to say the least, our cutlery and silverware ranged from this side of elegant to Dollar Store flatware.

It's a great place to eat. Our server is really nice and attentive but I forgot to asked her name. Will go back next time we're here 😊
