We have driven by here many times, but never stopped. Today was the day! We had breakfast at 11am. Everything we ordered was perfect: scrambled eggs, eggs over easy, eggs over hard, bacon, gravy, hash browns, American fries, toast (white and wheat), country fried steak. Server was pleasant and attentive. Cook did a great job!! If we are ever in the area, we will definitely stop again.

I love this little restaurant. The food was amazing, like eating a delicious home cooked meal. The staff was great- friendly and attentive. 10/10 I highly recommend it.

Great breakfast joint. It seems like it's out of the 1950s, and everything might be. Food and coffee hit the spot, very affordable

Returning home to Minnesota we found a gem in Wakefield, Michigan...just East of 28 & 2....The ambience was fantastic...The waitress greeted the regulars by name. Nice wall hangings. The cook...a sister of the 2nd generation who have owned the restaurant came out and visited us...so wonderful ...

I ordered and easy over fried egg, perfectly crispy toast, and buttered rye toast👍👍👍👍👍 Everything is just the way I like it... We're thrilled to have stopped at this quaint gem.

Delicious, fast service and good portion sizes. Prices were fair. Just a small restaurant but would recommend to anyone camping in the area for a tasty breakfast!

Small road side restaurant, hand full of tables and in used counter space. One waitress on staff with a some kitchen help and a cook.

Coffee was hot and refills where quick.

Food was to order, just the right amount of grease to top it off. Hash browns could have been done a little more but they where busy so I'll give them that.

Worth the stop!

I had a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap and it was super good! The service was great, and it has a really nice family vibe. I also tried the fries and they were really good too. Highly recommend

Came across this small diner by chance while travelling thru town and WOW was I ever impressed! People, do you want outstanding service? Do you want perfectly prepared foods? Want well mannered waitresses, then this is the place to go!

Some of the best breakfast we’ve ever had. Small family owned place, quick friendly service, and amazing food.

We stopped here for breakfast after camping at the city campground. We ordered a veggie omelette and a waffle. They have cheese options other than American cheese but you need to ask the server. Food was good quality and delicious, service was friendly and efficient.

We visited this restaurant after exploring Porcupine Mountains for a late lunch. It was a little bit of a drive to get there from where we were in the park, but it was worth it. If you're coming from the park, just be aware this restaurant is not in the Eastern time zone.
Lunch was overall fantastic. Having had breakfast for lunch, I can definitely attest to the excellence in the omelets. Everyone in our group had something different, and everyone loved it. We had a group of eight people, and they easily accommodated us. The service was spectacular, our server was attentive, kind, I'm really on top of it. Everything was also very reasonably priced. If you traveling across on US 2, it's definitely worth stopping.

Food was terrific and service was great and you can't beat the prices. I will be back often

I don't love writing reviews but I felt compelled to tell you how good the fish fry was. Fresh, hot, and light and crisp breading. Our order was with fries and coleslaw and the fries were well worth it too.
Although it's take out only it didn't make it to our destination. Instead we just devoured it in the car. Go get yourself some!

Small sized small-town diner. The menu was larger than I expected for the size of the place (bonus!!). We got our country fried steak and egg fix before a long day of exploring. Didn’t make it back for their Friday Fish Fry but we heard it’s also good. Food was good, serving sizes were decent and the staff was friendly. Hope to stop here again.

My husband Toms favorite place to eat. And of course he loves meeting up with the Wakefield guys. My sister and her husband just had breakfast there this morning and she let me know it was the most awesome meal ever. Their first trip there from Plover Wi and they will definitely be going back. She was just disappointed that they hadn’t been their sooner. I have to agree with her. The fish and shrimp fry is delicious.

My gal and I are up skiing in the area and needed a hot breakfast instead of a continental breakfast at the motel. We found the KK on google maps and liked the rating. They were right, fast, friendly service and our eggs, American fries, sausage and English muffins were perfect. Everything was piping hot and tasty. Thanks!
