El Mariachi Cafe

Food was delicious! Got myself a steak fajitas with a side of flour tortilas. The steak and fajitas were amazing and the flour tortilas taste so fresh! My husband is a vegetarian and he got vegie tamales and enchiladas, both he enjoyed a lot. Looks like a local favorite as well, as after we sat down for our meals, lines of people started coming in for their order. Service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend!

Love this place small, funky, flavorful, make a point to stop there whenever I can to get the super veggie quesadilla. Was with someone who who forgot hot is hot because the food here is authentic they were kind enough to remake part of it and offer sour cream at no extra charge to cut some of the heat. Love this place!

Amazing food! The shredded chicken is so juicy and perfect, and the carne asada is authentic and full of flavor! So glad I stopped in, I’m bookmarking it so I can come back!

It's an all outdoor seating authentic Mexican Restaurant in beautiful Occidental. Whatever you order is cooked from fresh ingredients obtained in Sonoma County. You dine outside amongst the beautiful trees in the downtown area.
You must go inside to order your food, which will be brought out to you.

Went here after going Ziplining and it was sooo good and it was quick made to order and it was so delicious and the horchata was top tier

So best Mexican food in sonoma county? El mariachi may very well be. However they hands down have the best horchata and burritos on the west side of the county

Our burrito supreme was just that. Great flavors. The order before mine was a big at $95 and they still had our burrito out in less than ten minutes. We will be back!

Probably my favorite burrito place in the USA

My husband and I have been eating at El Marachi Cafe for the past 10 years. We especially love their Super Burritos. My husband loves their Shrimp Burrito and I love their shredded Chicken Burrito. Each has a generous portion of meat as well as rice, beans,
avocado, sauce and veggies and they always taste so fresh and juicy. There is outdoor seating with umbrellas, and easy access for the disabled and a restroom for patrons. El Marachi should definitely be your next stop for a wonderful meal. Their Menu is extensive; you can order by phone and pick it up within 20 minutes. All cooks are friendly and professional. We love this cafe and we think you will too!*

Started seeing a new guy that lives in Monte Rio and he had been talking about this restaurant... It did not disappoint! It's very eclectic and small looking on the outside and I always passed this place up when driving through Occidental, favoring fancier looking places like the Union Hotel. I've obviously been missing out for years. This is solid mexican food, higher quality ingredients, perfect refried beans and rice, damn good salsa and chips, fair prices. Friendly service, clean bathroom. Well done. Will be returning!

They really good food love there Al pastor burritos my favorite from them would recommend them 100% only one thing they just need to add more meat in there burritos and that's it but other than that there a really good place to dine in and take out

Best Mexican food in town! Love The View from the Cozy outdoor seating area. We we were thrilled to find this wonderful Gem! Loved it so much we ate there 4 days in a row!

The food is pretty amazing for a Mountain town, as well as the chips and dip. Id come back for the chips and dip they were amazing. The dip was very fresh. We all had Carne Asada Burritos, my husband had 4 tacos as well as one enchilada. I enjoyed the meat flavor and burritos fresh guacamole and herbs. A burrito is a mixture of textures and flavors. They did a pretty good job. It's not San Jose Taqueria but it's leagues better than the Didrricks Burritos.

Sweet little place, with friendly people and good food. I enjoyed the Chile Relleno, my friends chose and loved their chicken burrito and chile relleno burrito. Relaxing place to visit and share a meal at outdoor tables.

The burritos are great here. The lady wrapping the burritos knows what she's doing. The insides do not become outsides. Liquid doesn't even escape.

I got carne asada. The meat was sightly crispy, and the cut was right, not too thick. Whole beans, and some good rice. This is a great burrito, and they don't skimp on content.

My wife got a michelada, and said it's the best she's ever had.

There's one four seat table inside, and a few tables outside.

Tasty, cheap, excellent Mexican food. Great to have outdoor seating for pandemic safety. Convenient location on the main road. Recommend.

Best michelada and burrito I've had in a long time (maybe ever!). Great service. Amazing food. Will definitely stop again next time we're around.
