Great place. Fantastic food. Friendly as you would expect. Definitely plan to stop here if your traveling through. It is worth it! Try the eggs Benedict Cajun style. Oh, and they give you plenty. You will not leave hungry.

It was my 1st time there the staff were friendly. They walked me through the menu and fixed my food just the way I wanted. I had the Cajun pasta crawfish., shrimp & sausage. It was so good and it's really clean in there. I would tell anybody to go there. Loved my experience there will go back soon.

Breakfast was terrific. Service was good, and the food came out promptly even though they were busy on a Saturday morning. We were a party of 9 and everyone was pleased with their food. I had the Cajun Benedict (poached eggs over a biscuit with crawfish sauce) and it was really good. Don't miss the Gouda Grits as they are also a treat. Other favorites at our table were the Sleey bear breakfast platter, stuffed French toast, and the omelettes.

What a fun find while out exploring! Great food! Probably the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had! Pulled pork tacos were great! We also had fries with crawfish queso. Truly, I ask for the shrimp & grits sauce with fries if I could! Fun place! Not fast food! They were pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon so we did have to wait a bit, but so with it!

We decided to give sleepy bear a try, and we’re glad we did! The food was delicious as well as the coffee. We had the shrimp & grits, chicken and waffles, and beignets! We also got a cold brew and frappe. Everything was really good. We will definitely be back.

Super friendly staff! Great addition to local restaurants. Menu has something for everyone! Went for breakfast and enjoyed it so much I went back to try lunch! I was not disappointed. Bang bang shrimp tacos were spot on. perfect seasoning. Great taste. Filling. breakfast platter was more than ample! Highly recommend. Despite the line almost out the door I was seated promptly and food arrived quickly. Could not have had a better overall experience.

Food was delicious and reasonable in price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for a new bee like me. I got the Sleepy Bear platter and it didn’t disappoint. The ambiance is as warm as the big bear hug. It nice place along the highway and I hope they will be here for a long time. With that note I can not Waite to be back and try other stuff from the Menu.

Greeted with a smile from the outset!

We, were recommended the daily special, which was red beans & rice.

My colleague went with red beans & rice!

I chose the fried green tomato blt with a cup of the red beans & rice on the side!

One thing to note on the FGTBLT was the quality of the bacon the Sleepy Bear uses, beyond excellent and cooked perfect.

The green tomato was fried perfect, crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside!

They use a spring mix and a house sauce as well on nicely toasted white bread!

I'd highly recommend the FGTBLT on a visit and I'll be back to consume it again in the near future.

Now, let's breakdown the red beans!

I cook red beads weekly and let me tell you, these red beans were on point, creamy, seasoned perfect and the beans were cooked perfect, not mushy, but the correct texture.

I'd recommend a stop in at the Sleepy Bear if you're passing through Wiggins, but I'd also make the hike up there as the menu is vast with other entree's worth dipping into!

Hands down the best breakfast in the area! Highly recommended the Cajun Benedict ! So dang good!

My new favorite place to eat in Wiggins! First visit: shrimp and grits…it’s all about the yummy creole cream sauce. Second visit: Cajun seafood pasta…creole cream sauce. Third visit: fried green tomato BLT…the bacon! I really need to try the breakfast menu next visit.

This place was packed.. BUT they are moving people in and out so fast the wait time isn't long at all. They have the most amazing breakfast.. Cajun style. I had a Cajun omelet with a side of bread pudding. Omg! This place is better than any breakfast I have had in a looong time. I will be back!

Everything was great! The staff was very friendly and the menu was unique and very delicious! We will definitely be back.

Had out of town friends over for the weekend and had an amazing brunch. The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

We visited on Saturday, Sept 2nd. There was a line to the door, but it moved very quick. Staff was amazing at keeping tables cleared/cleaned so there wasn't ever a wait for a table.
Didn't wait long for food (breakfast) to come out. Food was awesome! I, personally got a cold caramel latte with breakfast... amazing!! I even stopped back Tuesday just to get a coffee to go :)
All the staff was friendly and on their toes. Glad there is another option to eat at in Wiggins. Great job Sleepy Bears!!

Hands down one of the best breakfast spots in the area if not southern Mississippi as a whole. Biscuits are killer and so was everything else on the menu that we had. If you're stopping somewhere for breakfast or looking for a local place to make part of your morning routine y'all need to run, not walk, to Sleepy Bear.

I had the shrimp and grits. They were perfect and full of flavor. Highly recommend.

Walking I was surprised. I thought it would be over decorated with bears. It wasn't, it was beautiful and cozy. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and the coffee. I ordered the Boujee Bear special coffee, it was salted caramel and white chocolate. I had an iced one. Just delicious!!. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and bang bang shrimp tacos and a kids quesadilla and fries. The sandwich was great but the tacos were amazing. My son loved his quesadilla. The whole experience was wonderful. Our meal was almost 50$ so dont come thinking it's cheap. You pay for what you get and you get delicious food in a clean friendly environment,Thank you Dirt Baby and all the cooks and staff at Sleepy Bear for wonderful lunch.

Love this place! Had the Pulled Pork Benedict for breakfast on opening day. So very good! Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great everything! Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here, great food. I cleaned my plate and was full until evening time.
