Haven’t been this impressed with plant quality at a nursery in a while. The containers they use make a huge difference. I went yesterday (late December) and the plants were looking excellent. They also have a wide variety to choose from, including species specifically suited for restoration projects, which the nursery also offers as a service. The signs above each section are beautiful and give a lot of info about sun exposure and water requirements based on location, much more info than other nurseries. It’s way beyond the simple full sun/part shade/full shade categorization.

Wonderful place for California natives. I love how everything is divided by environment, versus plant type. I've had great success with plants here - including milkweed. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great nursery.

I went to the nursery for the first time today, and it just made my day! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Aaron was especially very helpful. He gave a tour and showed how the plants are grouped based on their environment. He gave great suggestion and very knowledgeable. I went checking every isle, felt like a kid in a candy store, lol. I just started my California garden and this place definitely is my new favorite place!!! So glad I made it to the nursery today :-) Oh, prices are also GOOD. Highly suggest to check out this weekend. There's a 15% Pollinators discount going on,

This is the best Nursery in the East Bay. All their plants are pesticide free and it’s fun to look around at all the wonderful native species. Parking was tight, but the prices were right. We love to get milkweed for the caterpillars and they always have them in stock. The employees were very helpful. No stress.

Friendly and helpful staff. Knowledgeable but humble as well. Well stocked and wise potting sizes for native species. GOOD prices. Unusual species that tend to be tough to find. 5 stars.

Excellent place to buy plants!! All are native to California and great for bees, birds, butterflies and the environment. Plants are healthy, clearly labeled with size, growing conditions, water needs, etc. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Woman-owned business.

Great nursery for native plants. They have plants you can't get anywhere else. Staff is very helpful. They take impressive precautions to guard against soil pathogens like sudden oak death

Hard-working nursery kept very orderly. Friendly, helpful staff. Currently have loads of Asclepius, showy and narrow leaf. Visit them with intent to buy, plant, and restore!

I walked into the watershed nursery a week ago. I was looking for the most convenient native plant store In my area and there are very few....you know how they say "save the best for last?" well this holds true here. I live in Pittsburg so this nursery is probably the most convenient for me. When i walked in I was greeted by Laura who personally brought me to each species of plant I was looking for on my list, and they had all but one plant I was looking for! The selection here is great! The best part is the prices, top notch! Some of the grasses were on sale in small deepots for $1.50! The Pipevine was $4.25 in little quarter gallon pots. Tip for everyone new to natives, planting smaller plants is actually better than planting a larger plant, overall you get faster growth from a smaller plant. I'm definitely returning to this nursery in the future. Thanks Laura!

Great selection of natives. The plants were better looking and if anything cheaper than some other native nurseries I've visited. Many of the plants are grown in specialized extra deep containers (such as the ones used for habitat restoration) which give plants nice deep roots to reach water. We got the CA native rose for $4, coyote mint $4, yerba buena $4, beach primrose $4, red flowering currant $6 (larger container) and hummingbird sage (smells like pinapple sage -- it scented the whole car on the ride back home!) for $10, I believe it was in a half gallon or gallon container.

Great selection - I was able to find Pacific Madrones in convenient deepot containers here - an experiment for our foothill property. Awesome prices. I'll be back.
