Art71 Studio

My daughter, at 13, has attended 6-7 art programs before and after moving to Austin. This is the one I highly recommend. At Art71, your child will not be learning just how to draw an image, they will be challenged to incorporate their own ideas and interpretations. They will learn the process, the layering that went into producing a more sophisticated artwork over several weeks. It offers a year-round curriculum vs. just summer or seasonal camps. Teachers' enthusiasm in teaching, the variety of art media introduced, the diverse and interesting projects have all converted my younger son, who never showed curiosity in drawing prior, into a passionate learner. Under Ms. Karen's teaching in the last two years, my daughter's drawing skills and interpretations have improved leaps and bounds. She won a regional award at 2017 Scholastic Art Competition.

Why visual arts? To me, beyond the technical learning, a child is challenged to think creatively by the right teacher and can be leveraged into learning in other fields. My daughter's artistic expression gives her a definitive edge in producing high quality school projects.

Karen and Katrin, mother/daughter duo were amazing art teachers! They have an awesome, relaxing, calm art studio. The projects that my son completed were enjoyable, exciting, and beautiful! We have many of his art pieces hanging up in our home, because they are so professional looking! My son really enjoyed art classes at Studio 71! I would highly recommend it!

Karen and Kaitrin are great! My daughter has been attending classes since Art71 Studio opened a few years ago and she loves it! She begs me to stay when I come to get her. The quality of her art has improved greatly with her classes and she loves all the different mediums she gets to work with.

We enrolled our son in art class because a few of his art teachers mentioned that they saw talent. Wow! I was amazed at all of the projects that he completed during the classes. My son loves their art classes just as much as his sports.... that means a lot.

My daughter did a summer camp here and LOVED it! She came home with so many beautiful pieces of art in different media. We'll definitely do it again!
