I got super lucky finding this place! I travel all over the country for work. At the end of the job there's always a car load of scrap to drop off. This was the first yard I called and they had a very good price on scrap copper. I was the only customer and was invited to have a BBQ with the crew. Super friendly people! This is my spot when I'm in northern Indiana/ Chicago area! Thanks everyone at Merrillville Metal Recycling!!

We started our plumbing business in 2023, we tend to get alot of scrap. We googled scrap yards. We’ve been using MMR ever since. Jake the owner super friendly. Yard is very clean. It’s paved so no nasty mud on our trucks. Their cash is green and they pay fair. All in all we will continue to use MMR

Easy in, easy out, lady at pay window was great as well! Take your scrap here, they will take care of you!

Clean facility, efficient operations and competitive pricing. My husband frequents the facility and often takes along our kids and dogs. The staff is always accommodating.

Love this yard. J and the crew are super helpful, yard is clean, prices are fair to higher than other yards, and bring your dog to the yard, the crew are all dog lovers.

Honest prices, good people. The owner came out and helped me unload a huge truck that I was struggling with by myself. I left My I.D. there as well and he contacted me to let me know right away. If you've got scrap, this is the place to go.

I have an upcoming demolition in the area and I called them about pricing. Jake is a real gentleman to deal with. Not only did they offer the highest prices but they also helped when I needed containers on site. If I was you I wouldn't bring scrap anywhere else!

Fair scrap pricing , a clean yard as far as yards go, the people working there were very thorough and helpful. I would definitely go back again.
