Very pleased with my Life Pixel experience. I have shot digital infrared for a few years off and on. Finally on a camera upgrade I decided to convert the camera being replaced with Life Pixel's Super Color conversion figuring that gives me the most versatility for black & white as well as more saturation latitude. I have barely started but the flexibility of lower ISOs and faster shutter speeds makes infrared even better.

I have had nothing but great experiences with LifePixel. I have had 2 infrared camera conversions, and both have been great quality, and delivered with the most attentive and professional customer service from the owner Daniel Malkin. There were some technical problems with my first camera conversion, but Daniel made an exceptional effort to get my rare white body camera converted successfully, rather than just replacing it with a more common black body, which would have been easier (and cheaper). I have had Super Color and Hyper Color conversions, and both have been outstanding quality. The images are gorgeous, and the 30 minute training with Dan Wampler is a very nice value add. I would use Life Pixel again and highly to others looking for Infrared Photography products and services.

A few weeks ago I received back my used mirrorless Sony camera conversion from Life Pixel. I chose the 590 nm "Super Color" picture and it was a great choice! Nice smooth black and white infrared or blazing striking color is yours for the choosing. They did a wonderful job, received it within 10 days at the most from shipping. I was highly pleased, use the tutorials on the website for help as well as the free one on one session with an accomplished very nice IR expert photographer.
This is my second Sony conversion in two years- last time was the standard IR filter which also is incredibly nice and such fun!
I wholeheartedly recommend this company- they are really nice and seem so very reliable and interested in us!

Life Pixel absolutely gets my highest recommendation. This is a first rate company, not only is it easy to select the modification or camera you want they offer 100% support. I repurposed one of my old Nikon DSLR's to their "Enhanced IR filter" and my images were perfect right out of the box. Their instructions are clear and easy to follow. It does help greatly if you use Photoshop but anyone can get good results. Next time I want a modification I'm going right back to them. The turn around time was less than 10 days and I'm on the other coast.
Thank you!

I had my Nikon D7200 converted to super color infrared recently from Life Pixel and has taken some beautiful pictures that are otherwise not possible. The customer service has been fantastic (I was communicating with Daniel Malkin during the conversion process) and the camera arrived on time. The packaging was good. I was waiting till I used my converted camera to give any feedback. I made a trip to the Great Smoky National Park recently and took some good pictures with the converted camera. Perhaps I need to spend some time in improving my photoshop skills for processing, but otherwise no complaints from the camera as of now. Keeping my fingers crossed, I hope to take some beatiful IR photographs in future.

Converted a Canon Rebel t3i to Super Color IR and couldn't be happier! Never been more into photography than I am now especially thanks to how much IR adds to the process and experience. Life Pixel's website includes a lot of helpful tutorials too which helped me in my editing process a lot. Great service, received my camera rather quickly.

I won a camera on a popular auction site that turned out to have been IR-modified. With little to no knowledge of IR photography, I contacted Life Pixel Infrared through their website to seek help with the camera I had just won. Daniel from Life Pixel was quick to respond. He exhibited patient professionalism and was easy to ask questions and work with. All of this was done with a sense of urgency. Thank you, Daniel and Life Pixel Infrared.

I had a great experience with an IR conversion on my Olympus OM-D E-M1. We had a couple snags during the conversion process, but LifePixel did an excellent job standing behind the work and working closely with me until it was 100% perfect. Their communication was also quite good, you can tell that you're working with an expert who really cares about their craft. I'll definitely use LifePixel again if the opportunity comes up!

I have been interested in adding infrared photography to my repertoire. Life Pixels made it happen. Their website was very informative. I was very easily able to decide on what conversion I wanted. Their service was done in a respectful timely manner. I am more than satisfied with Life Pixels. They did a great job converting my Nikon D600.

It was a "few years ago" I got the super colour IR conversation on a Sony A6000. This was the second time I've used Life Pixel and will not be the last. I absolutely love IR photography and the digital conversion take all the hassle out of it. With the new mirrorless cameras it is even better. I am looking at upgrading my camera and will definitely go with the super colour IR again.

Prior to ordering I asked and received excellent guidance from Life Pixel on which type of conversion would suit me best. I opted for the Super Color conversion. The shipping instructions to Life Pixel were very clear. I was surprised how fast they completed and returned my camera. From the time O shipped it to when it landed on my doorstep was 7 working days. I have tested it and everything works exactly as described and am now working on my post processing skills for IR images. I Couldn't be more satisfied. This is the second conversion I had Life Pixel do and both experiences and results have been flawless. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have an IR conversion done.

I am very happy with my camera conversion (i had an infrared, super color conversion) to my Olympus EP5, which happens to be of the rarest color in white. There was a problem with the conversion, and it was going to take longer, but I received excellent customer service from Daniel, who went above & beyond. IT may have taken a little longer, but ultimately Daniel personally made sure that I got my white camera successfully converted (instead of replacing it with a new camera, which would have been black in color). I collect white camera bodies, so I am very happy Daniel was able to get my camera back to me, and it works perfectly! I love it, and I would recommend Life Pixel to anyone looking for an infrared conversion. They have loads of training, videos and helpful links & resources on their website, and even in the rare case such as mine where a problem was encountered, Life Pixel really rose to the occasion and delivered outstanding service. That alone is hard to find these days, so 5 stars for service, quality and ethics!

I decided to have an old DSLR camera converted to IR for a trip to a western gold mine ghost town. Reaching out to fellow photographers for suggestions all led me back to Life Pixel as the premium choice for infrared conversion. The web site was informative and intuitive to use. Once I sent my camera in, I was able to follow the process online the entire time. My camera was returned ahead of the promised date. I could not be happier with the results. I chose the Super Color conversion, and the images I am now able to produce are AWESOME! I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about an IR conversion to do it - and use Life Pixel for the service. You won't be disappointed.

A 100% perfect experience with my first ever IR conversion! My Nikon D80 was just sitting around waiting and now it may be one of my most used cameras with its new 590 IR conversion. From ordering to return, the process was great. The bonus 30 minute training was fantastic and has given me a great start in post-processing. Now I wonder why I waited so long to do this!

I had my Sony a6000 converted to a full-spectrum by Life Pixel. The camera was drop-shipped from Amazon. Throughout the process I received the status update emails without a delay and felt very secure and comfortable during the process. (You can also view the status on their website/your account - order status.) The conversion was completed within the timeframe mentioned, and the package I received was very well prepared. On their website there is a clear instruction on how to drop-ship, and this was very useful during the ordering process.

[If you are considering to purchase a new a6000 and converted to a full-spectrum/infrared, I would suggest to simply purchase an 'already converted' a6000 (body only) from the Life Pixel website. You can buy an a6000 with a 16-50mm kit lens from a store, but this lens is not really suited for infrared photography (hot spot issue! I found out after the conversion...), so you will end up purchasing another lens after all (so I did...)]

Life Pixel is a real professional company, and I would 100% recommend to anyone who is considering a conversion! Thank you Life Pixel!!

I was intrigued by infrared photography and decided to have my camera converted. The instructions and procedures for the conversion were clear and easy to follow. The associates I spoke to at Life Pixel were extremely helpful. I needed to have the camera converted by a specific date so that I could attend a workshop. I was told there would be no problem in meeting my deadline without paying extra for express delivery. The camera arrived on time and the conversion was perfect. Excellent service.

Life Pixel recently modified my Sony NEX 6 for IR. I have been more than happy with the conversion and it's great to find a new use for a old camera body. I was using a old Minolta digital camera with filters, which was kind of limiting for me. Life Pixel's customer service was out standing and the turn around time was great!. I highly recommend Life Pixel services.

I recently had Life Pixel convert a Sony a5000 mirrorless camera to infrared. Last year they converted a Nikon D3100 for me. I had questions before converting the Sony and Life Pixel answered all of my questions quickly and professionally. The process for sending them the camera is easy to follow and they keep you updated throughout the process. You receive an email when they receive the camera and another when they send it back.

The conversion is great. The infrared pictures are very creative for me and with the Sony much easier than with the Nikon.

The post conversion Q&A and free online class is great.

I highly recommend Life Pixel.

I am a fine art photographer who loves to shoot with Infrared converted camera's. I have had 5 different camera's converted and Life Pixel has done an outstanding job with each camera. I find their web site to be very useful as a guide to learn about the different types of conversions available. Life Pixel is also extremely helpful, when you call with a question about your camera. I would only use Life Pixel to convert an infrared camera. "Thank You Live Pixel".

I have had 2 cameras converted by Life Pixel to infrared; a Nikon D70 and later. D200. Both were great conversions with no problems. The D200 has the deep IR conversion rendering monochrome images. Any future conversion work I need will be handled by Life Pixel. They did a great job!
