Mill 1 Events

We hosted our wedding at Mill 1 last weekend and I couldn’t recommend it more! Emily and Adrianna were amazing to work with and the day went by so flawlessly. Adrianna was there the day of and worked closely with all of my vendors to make sure everything went perfectly. She was super accommodating and even brought us champagne while we were doing all of our pictures with the photographers. The venue is so unique and gorgeous and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day!

The coolest! I've photographed weddings at Mill 1 and I love it. There is such a unique look and feel to this place. It's funky and cool, but still feels warm and inviting. And it really gives you a sense of the industrial heritage of this valley, which is so cool. So many great spots for photos. The staff is really helpful, not just to the couples, but to the other wedding vendors as well, which makes for a very positive client experience. Big enough to handle a crowd too. Highly recommended!

We are planning our wedding here and it has been a great experience so far! Regina is amazing, warm, accommodating, and full of great suggestions. The venue itself is spacious - more so than it looks in pictures- the exposed brick, big windows and hardwood are just... gorgeous.

Mill 1 was the most beautiful, unique and seamless to work with venue. Our guests couldn’t say enough about the beautiful space. Working with Regina and her team was incredible from the start. We felt listened to, cared for and they provided a personalized experience. I had nothing to worry about because Regina and her team if incredible staff took care of all the details from the seating arrangements to our signature cocktails. The bar staff at Mill 1 was excellent and took care of our guests. Mill 1 is the most beautiful space and is truly worth it.

What a beautiful venue! We fell in love with Mill 1 the moment we walked in, and were so happy to have our wedding in such a historic, stunning, green location. Everything about planning and hosting our event was smooth. The space made for beautiful pictures and an even more beautiful in-person experience. Completely unforgettable!

Adrianna and Will were absolutely amazing! Adrianna communicated effectively and promptly. She was the sweetest, and was so understanding of everything we wanted. ALL of my guests complimented the hospitality from them to the bar staff. We were able to enjoy our say with our guests very peacefully. Adrianna took so much stress off of the planning process by reaching out and confirming with my vendors. The day of our wedding, she was patient. She made sure we had everything we needed and were never without anything at all. The multiple times she reached out to make sure if there was anything else we needed help with was outstanding. Most of the vendors I worked with said she was such a breath of fresh air and easier than previous ones. I definitely will be recommending Mill 1 to everyone.

I recently hosted my company's holiday party at Mill 1. The venue is beautiful, interesting, and welcoming. Adrianna and Will were super easy to work with, and very accommodating. Our team enjoyed the venue so much, they are demanding we return to Mill 1 for next year's event. I would recommend Mill 1 to anybody in the Holyoke area looking for an event venue.

Mill 1 is the best!!! We held a vow renewal there and it was such an absolute delight! The staff was so helpful and accommodating . I was actually both the planner and a close family member so I was able to see the entire perspective of Mill 1 and it was just absolutely flawless! The space is warm and welcoming and has the perfect amount of character to truly get a unique experience with each event that is held within it! Thanks again Mill 1 for your amazing help and hospitality and of course Reggie who was my contact through it all that made it all possible! I can't wait to be back!

Mill 1 felt like the right place from the moment we walked in for a tour. It is such a unique, industrial but romantic space. It has flexibility for style and layout, it was a no brainer for us.
The management that existed when we first booked with them was pretty horrible to be honest, but I only mention that fact at all because the crew that took over a few months ago has been so incredible they turned that experience around drastically.
Adrianna was a God send, an absolute angel and made our wedding a million times better than it would have been if it weren't for her. She supported me through our rehearsal and decoration setup, she was always very responsive to emails and calls, and then on wedding day she helped make everything seamless!
On our wedding night my husband and I looked around and just felt so grateful at how beautiful everything came out, it was all better than we imagined.
I can't forget to mention the bar staff! They were also incredibly accommodating and helpful before the event and throughout the whole night.
We were so lucky to have such a great experience, thank you Mill 1!

This is a versatile and fantastic venue. Lots of wood and exposed brick to bring a chill and funky vibe to your event. I played acoustic guitar in several of the rooms and they sound amazing as well!

Such a cute place for a small wedding. The exposed brick and large windows sets up a perfect environment for a “chill” or “rustic” type wedding. The open bar serves yummy drinks. There was enough parking for a small event I attended. Very picturesque!!

This was such a lovely space to get married. The space is incredible and my partner fell in love right away. To put it lightly, after seeing the venue in-person - my partner was so anxious to secure it for our wedding day right away! Bartenders did a wonderful job, coordinating with vendors we smooth, and space was plentiful. We had our ceremony in the gallery upstairs and this was lovely, rustic, with rolling hills in the background. It was so easy to get ready there and just move within the building for the different parts. Plenty of parking was great plus for our guests. Loved that it was definitely more affordable than other venues as well - feels important to be given a appropriate price when weddings have become such an unaffordable endeavor.
We had lots of fun with the photographer in huge abandoned wood and brick rooms within the building and lots of spots around the area. Did a sparkler send off at the end which was so much fun! Thanks Mill 1!!!

Lovely venue to host a wedding. Cozy and inviting and our guests could not stop talking about how lovely the space was! Regina and crew were great on day of setup and flexible to what my husband and I wished for! Photo opportunities around the space are endless. Possible one stop shop for wedding dress as well! Spaces to get ready in were lovely.
Recommend to those looking to have a wedding in the valley!

Mill 1 was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding. The brick, natural lighting, and open spaces made for a beautiful day, and even more beautiful photos. We worked mostly with Regina, and she was an absolute dream to work with. She was professional, helpful, and responsive, and made sure to account for every last detail to make our day perfect. The other staff we worked with were also wonderful, including the bar manager Beth who made our signature cocktail vision come to life. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day or planning experience. I would highly recommend Mill 1 to anyone considering booking it.

Beautiful space. OUTSTANDING bartending staff that made sure everyone of my guests had what they needed. My guests couldn't stop gushing about how perfect everything was and how gorgeous the space was. It was a perfect wedding; everything went as planned. Reggie was wonderful to work with. Our ceremony was at the venue as well, and the set up there was spectacular. Their altar piece is a must! The cocktail lounge area is the perfect size for around 160-170 guests in my opinion. I would also pick Longitude for your caterer. Our wedding was beginning of October during a slight cold spell, and the ceremony space, despite not being air conditioned, stayed at a normal temperature.

Mill One was exactly what my husband and I were looking for when searching for a wedding venue. We had about 120 people in attendance and had plenty of space in every area of our event (ceremony, cocktail, reception). We worked with Regina who made our lives 10x easier. She was so helpful, responsive, and there every step of the way, including the entire night of the wedding. The bar staff was quick and very friendly, as well!

If you are planning to host your wedding or event at Mill One, I would recommend hiring an event planner to help with decor set up / tear down. Regina had mentioned or recommended this from the first tour we had with her and we are so glad we listened. It is a smaller window to set up and tear down and it was such a relief to have hired a planner to help with these things instead of utilizing our friends and family for this.

Mill 1 was the best wedding venue we could have hoped for. We looked at a handful of options in the area and were blown away at how affordable the venue is for how beautiful it is. Mill 1 staff were extremely helpful laying out options for tables, chairs, lighting and other wonderful touches that truly allowed us to customize our day to be just how we planned it. We brought in our own flowers and other little touches and Mill 1 was extremely easy to work with setting up and taking down those little "extras." Our guests loved the huge reception hall for dinner and dancing and the smaller, intimate ceremony space really made that "I Do" moment extra special. The Mill 1 staff was extremely responsive to our requests; Reggie and the owner John were back to us quickly whenever we had questions, no matter how minor. The venue had only a few catering options but those options were excellent. We had an issue day of getting guests to the venue on time but Mill 1 staff were flexible and had the staff stay later than we planned to ensure we got our full reception. There were not any nearby places to eat or drink for a rehearsal dinner or afterparty but that's nothing a bus rental and 15 minute drive cannot solve. We cannot recommend Mill 1 enough to anyone looking to plan their perfect day.

Mill 1 at Open Square went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect wedding day!

The space itself is gorgeous-- exposed brick, hardwood floors, huge windows. The mill was restored beautifully and makes for the perfect event space. The fact that it was a net zero energy building was especially appealing to my husband- an architect interested in sustainable building practices.

Our guests continue to rave about the unique space, which just reaffirms for us what a fabulous choice it was to have our wedding at Mill 1.

We had lined up a few venues to check out for our ceremony and reception, and Mill 1 was the first place we visited. After meeting Maggie and seeing the space, we were hooked! We cancelled our other appointments and reserved our date. The fact that Open Square is a carbon-neutral space was a huge bonus for us, too.

The space was the perfect size for our reception (about 100 guests), and the staff worked hard to make sure that everything went smoothly before and during our wedding. The bar staff were on top of their game, too. So many of our guests remarked on how wonderful the space was, and we couldn't have been happier!

Mill 1 was the absolute perfect place for our wedding. The owner, Maggie, was wonderful to work with and did everything she could to make our day go as smooth as possible (which it did). The venue looked amazing and our guests had nothing but compliments on how beautiful it was. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for a unique venue that will wow your guests, Mill 1 is the place for you!
