Lake Wedowee Winery and Brewery

I have only purchased bottles of wine from here, but each time was a wonderful experience! I walked right in around noon each time and there was always someone more than happy to help! I’m impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the variety of wines available!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this winery. The wine selection was crazy and playful but most importantly delicious! The atmosphere was bright and relaxing. Scott (the wine maker?) Was really nice and super helpful while doing the wine tasting. At the end he gave us a tour. We will definitely be back! (Also try the pineapple mimosa I don't even like pineapple but I love the pineapple mimosa)

Hand made crafted wines. From the usual to the unique. Serves wine only. Told they are considering a cheese and meat board. Bring your own food if you want to sit and sip.

Great atmosphere, prices, and amazingly friendly staff! I had a family reunion here for New Year's and they told us all about things to do, including the town's first inaugural fish drop! If I ever visit again I'll definitely be stopping by to say hi to Scott and Taylor again.

Husband and I had a wonderful time at this impromptu stop! We were in town to film a wedding and we felt welcomed into the winery the second we stepped foot in. The owner was so kind and it was clear he was proud of his location and the community staple he built. Each wine was crafted with love and has its own story. He was generous with the tasting and his pours. While we were enjoying our glass he came over and gave us a sample of wild boar. It was such a wonderful experience. We ended up leaving with a bottle, wax melts, slushee mix and water Buffalo sausage!! Come here if you want to relax and enjoy good company. You won’t regret it!!

We stopped by for our first visit yesterday. The owners, Scott and Brooke could not have been more welcoming. We got a nice table upstairs and listened to a great live duo.
I tried a wine flight of reds. Every one of them was very good! The Cabernet was outstanding! My husband had beer, which he also really enjoyed.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely make this a regular stop when we visit Wedowee!

Who would have thought that in the wee town of Wedowee, Alabama you would find a winery plus brewery which opened a couple of years ago and has expanded to an event location with a beautiful upstairs party room! The owner, Scott, gave us a rundown of the history of Wedowee, the lake, the local businesses and surrounding areas. We spent a very lovely afternoon tasting wines, beers and seltzers and talking to Scott. Thank you for enlightening us about your town and the wittily named wines which we fully intend to enjoy.

What an amazing place! Scott, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and knowledgable, and his recommendations for both the selections on hand and things to do in the area make the visit to his winery an absolute must. The wine is delicious and I challenge anyone to walk out of there without at least a few bottles in hand. You can't call a trip to Lake Wedowee complete without a stop here!

Our friends on Lake Wedowee have been telling us about their local winery for several years. On our first visit to the area, we had to visit Lake Wedowee Winery and we’re so glad we did. From wines and ciders to beers and craft cocktails – there is something here for everyone. Scott is a very gracious and welcoming owner and service from the staff was excellent. They went above and beyond with tasting samples to make sure we were able to select a drink that was truly enjoyed. Being able to bring in food from outside to complement their beverage menu is a bonus. Wedowee is fortunate to have a business like this. We look forward to returning to Lake Wedowee Winery soon!

Best winery to date I’ve visited! Local and amazing, we do t just come for the many choices of wine flavors, and craft beers, but for the southern hospitality and the owners couldn’t be nicer and more accommodating!! We recommend this experience while visiting the lake 5 out 5 stars!!! And Allison is the best Bar temptress we’ve ever had!

These people have been a blessing to the community. I have nothing but praise for Scott and the beverages he makes. I've yet to have something I don't like and I don't see it happening anytime soon. All I can say is keep on keeping on! 😁👍

Absolutely love this place! Was a bit concerned that it would be typical Alabama/Georgia winery with nothing but super sweet, fruity wines. Couldn’t be further from the truth. They actually have some great red wines that I really enjoy along with some very creative concoctions as well. Add that with the fun atmosphere, friendly staff and occasional food truck pairings and live music and you have a really great experience. So thankful this establishment is thriving in our little community! ❤ It is well worth a stop!

We love Lake Wedowee Winery! The owner Scott is so nice. We had my 4 year old with us and he welcomed her with open arms.

Awesome spot for a glass of winenor beer and to catch a game. Great wine and beer with mulled wine and froze. New favorite spot!

Found this little gem when I came to visit family; they've got some fantastic beers. Nice variety, friendly staff, & super tasty beer! I'll definitely be stopping by on future visits

What a great place! Delicious wines with fun names, but the best part was the people. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and just plain good people! The building is a repurposed filling station that’s been beautifully done. This is a “must visit” in Wedowee! Can’t wait to return!

Super friendly staff, small batch beer was excellent, never tried the wine, but heard it was really good! Hope I get back there soon!

Awesome! Try the mango habanero Bloody Mary or the wine slushee. I’m a Bloody Mary connoisseur and I loved it. Scott is really cool too!

Great atmosphere and very good wine choices. Grab a sandwich locally and stop in for a flight of wine. That way you get to sample more. We'll worth the stop.
