SpitFire Firearms Training

Ellen and Nate are knowledgeable and take safety seriously. My coworker and I (both women) had a fabulous time today learning from both of them. We never once felt uncomfortable, judged or unprepared. They had everything you need at the training and go over things multiple times. I, personally, really enjoy hearing it and then seeing the direction and they did those two things multiple times. I am a beginner gun user and they would answer any questions we had. These two are wonderful and I can’t wait to go back for another session!

This training was so much fun! We did a women only course and Nate was so friendly and reassuring. My lady friends and I were pretty scared of guns before this course and Nate thoroughly explained gun safety to us that made us more open and excited to learn about them! He made the training more conversational and answered all our questions. It did not feel like a lecture where he was talking at us! Highly recommend learning gun safety with Spitfire Firearms! My friends husband learned about guns elsewhere and didn’t even know as much as we had learned, now he is thinking of taking the course. Nate made the experience soo fun!

I wish I could give more that five stars. I took the Introduction to Firearms class yesterday. I was very apprehensive and several times I almost canceled. I'm so glad I didn't. I was very uncomfortable around guns of any kind, but Ellen and Nate are so wonderful. They know what they're a doing, they give very clear instructions, and they understand that people process information in different ways and at different speeds. I went from flinching (to be honest jumping) every time a gun was fired to actually enjoying pulling the trigger. Now I'm looking into gun ranges or joining a gun club, and purchasing a firearm. I know this is long, but I have to add that Nate is surprisingly empathetic to women who have experienced violence. I was not expecting that. He was aware of the space that a woman might need without drawing attention to it or making it an issue. Ellen is like that big sister who leads you on an adventure where there is danger, but you know you'll be safe with her at your side. Her encouragement to "Take your time. When you're ready. You can do this." is what I will repeat to myself whenever my confidence wavers.

Excellent classes and experiences. Very knowledgeable, respectful and approachable mentors. I've now taken 2 courses and both have been great. Coming from next to nothing for experience to how I feel now is massive. Would recommend for anyone new or anyone looking to refine skills and learn some new ones.

My husband and I took our first gun class here and we walked away feeling confident in using our firearms correctly. Exceeded our expectations!

I highly recommend SpitFire Firearms Training. Nate and Ellen are excellent instructors with a ton of knowledge. They're relatable and provide high-quality instruction. I will definitely take another class with them!

As useless Europeans, we turned up totally clueless and with no knowledge of firearms. Nate was totally un-judgemental and skilfully took us through a lesson that was perfectly tuned to our ability. Awesome guy, and an awesome day out.

Nate is an excellent instructor. He explained everything in detail. My questions were answered intelligently. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. I highly recommend!
