Discovering this gem was like unearthing culinary treasure; it's unequivocally the best spot for subs I've ever had the pleasure of dining at. Their Italian Steak Tip and classic Italian subs are masterpieces, rivaling even the authentic sandwiches you'd find in the heart of Italy, but with a unique twist that elevates them above and beyond. The dedication to freshness and quality is evident in every bite, from the crisp vegetables to the savory meats, and the generous portions ensure you're more than satisfied. There's something about the way they balance flavors and textures that showcases their unparalleled craftsmanship in sandwich-making. It's my all-time favorite place to eat, and each visit reaffirms my love for their exceptional subs, making every meal a memorable experience.

10/10 Italian sandwich. An absolute must-try if you're in the North End. The price seems a bit steep but this thing had the girth of an Arizona Tea can and was roughly 15" long. Two people could share this. Anyone can throw some wonderfully aged Italian meats between some bread and call it a sandwich, but the bread is what really ties it together. The bread was perfect. Slightly crispy on the outside, but light and fluffy in the center. Despite my wife being 'not that hungry', she ate about 1/3 of this sandwich and is now on a mission to try to recreate this at home, 1300 miles away. And I'm on board to try.

Amazing sandwiches with super fresh ingredients not to mention and a cool market. They slice everything or order so line can look short be be deceptively long sometimes so try to avoid peak hours during lunch. With the wait though spicy chicken parm and Italian are go tos. Square slices by the register also fantastic.

Go for the Italian sandwiches - several looked great, but we enjoyed the original. It's cut fresh, and big enough for two lunches. Otherwise, a small local market with craft beer and an Italian deli. Pizza and the chicken Parm didn't look great, but the Italian was probably the best of that style I've had.

Truly delicious Italian sub. I can’t speak for anything else but the Italian sub is amazing.

I went here alone at lunch time when I visited Boston last. There is no seating. It’s just a deli counter. There was also very little wait - maybe 2 people on front of me on a Friday.

The sandwich they give you is gigantic! I couldn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.

They accept credit card but not Apple Pay.

Absolutely the best sandwiches. I think the fresh bread is one reason they are so good in addition to the expert thin slicing. Definitely sandwiches big enough to share.

You look at the price and think it may be expensive for a sandwich, but let me tell you… You’re paying for a 2 person portion and even then you will walk out full after the fantastic Italian sandwiches. Definitely recommend!! Everything is super fresh and flavourful.

EXCELLENT Italian subs. I tried the caprese sandwich and my friend got the steak tip salad. It is SO much food (at minimum two meals per sub/salad) and really tasty. Other reviews have mentioned the bread and they’re right - it’s really tasty.

Best subs in town. Great service, real time sliced meat onto the fresh baked bread. Doing Italian subs justice. Worth $20 all day!

My husband loved the chicken parmesan sub he got. We waited in line for a while and then waited for the sub even longer- He said it was worth the wait.

The staff were very busy and appeared efficient in fulfilling the many orders they filled while we were there.

Staff were nice.

Great set up for ordering on one side and paying in the next room. Very limited spacing, really just room to wait in line. There is no where to sit down while waiting or to sit to eat.

I had heard great things about the Italian sandwich at Monica's, and it did not disappoint. Delicious sandwich!

The highlight of the sandwich, aside from the freshly sliced cold cuts, is the chopped lettuce and balsamic.

It was very tempting to switch my order with all of the chicken cutlets and steak tips prepared on the counter.

Will definitely be back again!

Hands down the best sammy I’ve ever had! If there was one thing to try while in Boston, I would seriously recommend going to Monica’s for one of their handmade subs!

My friends and I visited on October 23, 2023 and each tried a different sub. I had the rosemary turkey sub which was sublime. All of my friends raved and universally agreed it was the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. All of the ingredients are fresh, locally sourced and produced, and top quality.

Expect a line out the door so be prepared to wait. Excellent bakery next door for dessert and espresso cafe kitty corner to top it off. Price point was $18 a sandwich. Salads and soup are also available.

I will revisit again and suggest anyone visiting Boston must visit.

It's an awesome old style Italian deli market. Definitely worth the time in line. Meatball and Italian meats sandwiches were amazing. Grab a sandwich and enjoy people watching from a table in the park a block away.

this was the TOP 5 sandwich I have ever had in my life. The spicy chicken parm was 10/10 delicious. I added artichoke hearts and some balsamic glaze on it. I ate it walking on the Boston street in the freezing cold and it was heavenly.

Great subs! There're lots of option, I tried the Italian and loved it. The sandwiches are big, and are cut in half. I think one sub can be enough for 2.

Wonderful deli and stand-in-line for delicious sandwiches that are worth it! Bread is baked on site and the meat sliced at the time of sandwich making. Ask for extra sauce and "hots"!
