Eastman Lake Recreation Area

Great stay in the off season. Quiet and very nice hosts. Water and electric was a plus. Nice dump station also. Rangers came thru frequently which was a plus. We’ll stay here again for sure

The lake is beautiful and full right now. We brought our kayaks.There are many wild flowers blooming. Plenty of wildlife to observe. We stayed at Cordorniz. Clean campsites, a few full hookups, many with electric/water hookups, and the rest have access to water only. We have stayed in all 3 types of sites, but the best views with privacy are the water only sites. They have several bathrooms in different areas. The bathroom I used was clean and had a hot shower. The camp hosts were nice and friendly. The park rangers drive through and check on everything. We had a great time.

Great place for fishing and hiking. Just need to be mindful of rattlesnakes in the spring summer and fall.

This is a really nice Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Area. There are two campgrounds: Wildcat primitive, and Codorniz (Spanish for "Quail"). Codorniz is a top notch Campground. There are 30 and 50 amp electric hookups I think at 24 of the sites, and there are three large restrooms with hot showers, that don't even cost money to use, and they're not time Limited. There are pull through campsites that are big enough for the very largest RVs out there, and even the smallest campsite pads are about 30 ft long. The boat launch ramp is only about a half a mile away. This is a very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing Campground. The perfect time of year is probably spring or autumn, when the daytime temperatures are between 60 and 75, and the overnight low temperatures are in the mid 40s to mid 50s. So it's not too cold or too hot to be camping in a tent. In midwinter it's very cold at night to be in a tent, and in midsummer very hot in the middle of the day. If you have an RV, then temperature really isn't an issue.

This is a great campground overall, but it would be amazing for tent camping especially. So much for kids to do and explore.

I'm in a van, and was perfectly happy with my space, but the spaces are so great for tents.

Beautiful hidden gem. Love the views of the Sierras. We did find a rattlesnake, so be careful!

Nice hiking spot with some decent attention put into the trails. Fishing is so/so where we went, but may be worth it with more water flow. Gorgeous otherwise, would definitely go again.

Eastman Lake is always an enjoyable time for my family 8 day gatherings! It's a win-win for disabled vets on the campground rentals. Great discounts are given to veterans for camping spots.

Fun place to go for a quick day trip from the valley. This time of year has many wild flowers to enjoy. There are many ways to have fun with friends or family here. There is a disk golf course, volleyball court, camping, fishing, and hiking.

Very nice, clean camping spot. Great winter camping...I imagine it would be hot in the summer. Close to boat launch, but no services or bait shop. Bring all supplies. Reserve at reservations.gov

Easy place to camp, good facilities, and a good fishing spot. Lake water level is low so you'll need to go down a bit to reach the water.

Visited the day use...Beautiful...loved that there was plenty of clean bathrooms...trashcans & trashbags tied to every table...kids loved the playground 😁 Looking into camping use super soon!!

We love Eastman lake. We have a trailer and have our favorite spot. the campground and facilities are well maintained and there are places to hike, bike, fish and swim.

We have never visited until today. Pleasantly surprised with all the amenities in the day use side . Plenty of walking trails for dogs . Not a lot of people .

Very clean and well maintained disc golf course with stunning views and nice terrain and natural obstacles.

Great camping spot in the early and late months of the year, unless you don't mind the heat during the summer.

Peaceful and Serene. A natural getaway tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
