Taj: Modern Indian Cuisine

We got the buffet, which was superb. The food was flavorful and had enough spice. Everything was perfectly balanced from the curry chicken to their rice pudding. I am from Central Florida, so I do not live in the area. I do have friends in the area, so when I visit them I will be back.

First time eating here, and I went for their lunch buffet so I can try a lot of things. I really enjoyed it. Flavored rice, soft warm bread, those fried onion clusters (my favorite!), the vegetable stew was also delicious, and a good balance of vegan and non-vegan items. There were some spiciness in some items (for flavor) but not enough to sweat. It was a good price and a nice cool respite from the heat. I look forward to going back :)

Food is highly flavorful much like other Indian restaurants in Florida, irrespective of some of the other low reviews. Quantities are also generous and it arrived pretty soon! Service was joyful and ambience is fairly good. Only one word of caution; spice levels here are relatively higher than other places. So if you’re normally used to Medium+ or hot-spice levels, recommend ordering Medium instead, not hot. Our server was flexible on the Music selection. If they dimmed the lights a bit instead of full bright it’d make for a more cozy ambience. Overall a worthwhile experience.

Had a wonderful lunch buffet with my 15 year old daughter. We both tried all 6 of the menu items (rice and puffed deep fried bread were also available, to make 8 menu items in all). All the food was hot, fresh and flavorful.

My daughter's favorite was the mushroom sag, as it wasn't spicy, so was great for her. I enjoyed all 6 menu items, especially the spicy ones!

I think my favorite item though, was the rice pudding. It was thick and creamy and I could have eaten 6 bowls of it!

Service was quick and friendly, though we did arrive at a later time, so the restaurant wasn't that busy.

I even enjoyed the Indian music playing in the background. It added to the atmosphere.

We will definitely be back. A great experience overall.

The food was amazing, and service was excellent. We had the lunch buffet and all the food was delicious and well worth the price. We also got an order of naan bread and got 5 pieces for 2.99 which to me is definitely worth the price.

We were seated immediately and had no issues. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

First time stopping by this Indian restaurant it did not disappoint. The food was simply delicious. It was fresh and good amount of seasoning, they have a special lunch buffet everyday until 3 pm and there’s many options like vegetarian and chicken dishes. Homemade rice pudding makes it even better. The service is attentive and efficient, very polite. The thing I loved the most about the decoration was their lamps full of colors gives it a nice touch. Will definitely return!!

A friend and I stopped in for the lunch buffet!! We will return. I loved that they did smaller amounts on their buffet so things were fresh. Flavors were wonderful along with the variety. The set up was nice. The price point was perfect for the buffet.

We went tonight for the dinner buffet pop up and had a great experience. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful. There was a great selection of dishes with multiple vegetarian and vegan options. Abu, the chef was also working the dining room. He was pleasant and attentive. Overall a fantastic meal in a great place.

We stopped on our way to Miami and craved for some nice Indian food. Luckily, we found this one and was totally worth it. We ordered Butter Curry enchiladas, tomato soup and masala dosa. Everything was delicious.

Great food. Quick and easy. The food in the buffet was a great way to sample and taste various foods I have never tried. We will be back. The Garlic NAan was everything I imagined

First and foremost, the food is awesome. Second, the staff is super nice. I once came late at night, a little after closing, and the chef and server let me in and offered to make me something anyways. To the owner, please give Ronny and the chef a raise. I don’t know what their pay is, but their service is directly responsible for this returning customer.

The only reason why atmosphere is 4 stars and not 5 is because I’m not wowed by the decor. For reference, your typical Cooper’s Hawk would also get a 4 from me, so consider my rating with that context.

The staff were super friendly. I'm not a spicy food person and my pallet is not very colorful, but my husband begged me to try. They had the chicken takki marsala available, it was delicious with the Nan bread and the mango lassi drink was so yummy!!!!!! This is a yes for sure. If you've never had Indian food like me, do the buffet for first time around and ask them to explain the dishes. Husband got the curry and was so happy with it!!!

This is BY FAR, The best Indian food I have ever tasted. I have been to many Indian restaurants before (including the ones at London, England) and this is just delicious. Seasoning is on point, spiciness just right, not too spicy not too mild, but you can always tell them how you want your dish prepared (some of them are already spicy though) service was really attentive, very kind and just right. I will def come back!!

This is now our go-to place for amazing, authentic Indian Cuisine. The owner, Abu, is absolutely amazing! Cares not only for his food but for his patrons too. A shining example of how a restaurant should be managed. They deserve your patronage. They also do delivery within the Brevard county area.

The Experience of tasting Amazing, authentic Indian Cuisine with a fusion twist is the best way I can describe this flavorful gem of a restaurant! Not too mention the professionalism of the staff who were very attentive and personable! Chef Andrew was a total delight! He came out personally to check not only on us but the other guest as well to make sure everything was just right and to our liking! We would have taken pics but the food looked so inviting and tasted so delicious that we totally forgot! We’ll save that for the next time we come back! Which will be very soon! I was in Viera a few weeks ago to take my Mother-in-law to the doctor. We drove up from Palm Bay. We decided to have lunch before driving back and stopped to eat at Taj Modern Indian Cuisine. OMG!, I was not expecting such delicious food from a buffet. The spices in each of the items I tried were perfectly balanced and nothing too hot. I have not tasted Indian food this memorable since I hosted a married couple from Hyderabad a few years back who prepared a wonderful Baingan Marsala dish for me and my wife. Taj had a similar eggplant dish on the buffet that was just as wonderful. There were four in my party and we all shared the same experience, so much so that we returned the next day for lunch again. We met the chef and commented on how much we liked the food, especially the eggplant and he told me that he studies the spices he uses which explain the myriad of flavors melding together and delighting the senses.
I have since returned home to NC, but my father-in-law still talks about eating here when I speak to him on the phone about our next trip. I look forward to returning here again.

Ordered food to go. Food was fresh, hot and ready within 10 minutes. The two staff members that assisted me were friendly, polite and overall gave a sincere sense of hospitality to the restaurant. Definitely worth a try if you’re into South Asian cuisine.

We are happy to have a new option of Indian food in town. We went there for the first time last week and after looking at the reviews my hopes were not up. We still gave a try following the recommendation of our good friend Andrew. We were not disappointed. We could taste the freshness in every dish and everything was delicious. The server was friendly and was willing to change our fountain drinks when we told her the taste of it was not good. She quickly gave us bottled water. We will definitely go back for more. I had the Massala fries and the butter paneer and my husband had de chicken tikka massala.

Been here a few times and the service and food are always amazing! The waiters are not always very chatty or welcoming but honestly that does not bother me, they are quick and attentive. As someone who loves to try different cultures’ food, this was a really great restaurant to try Indian food for the first time, everything is fresh and tastes homemade. There are plenty of choices for those who are vegetarian/vegan. Personally my favorite dishes that I recommend are the vegetable samosa and the garlic naan. If you eat meat, the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chicken are delicious as well. Honestly not sure why they have 4 stars, some people just have sensitive palettes I guess.

Had a light dinner while waiting to go to the movies. The service was fast, courteous and professional. Great food options for those who are vegan or vegetarian. Had the onion pakora, daal soup and garlic naan. Good choices. Delicious food especially if you long to try a culinary style that is not the typical American fare. Gave my compliments personally to chef Abu who was most gracious. Will definitely return. Healthier options here than many other places for dining. I give them a 5 out of 5.
Not a food critic but I know what I like and my taste buds were tantalized. Thanks for bringing much needed diversity to our dining options here at an affordable price
