The Horse & Hound

We photographed our first wedding at this lovely, rustic wedding venue in late September of 2021. We loved how much space there was at the Inn for both the wedding party and guests to get ready / stay overnight. This place feels like an old ski lodge with lots of warmth and old wood. With a backyard ceremony space behind the venue, this was an easy location for guests to get around. The new owners have string twinkle lights around the border of the property and have plenty of lovely backdrops for bride and groom portraits.

We are looking forward to documenting many more weddings at this rustic outdoor venue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!

Very pretty and clean interior. Backyard was good too. Room is good size and clean. Their bar and breakfast was amazing. Want to come again definitely

If you're vacationing in the White Mountains, New Hampshire and need a place to stay then look no further. This is by the far the best Bed and Breakfasts I've been in. The ambiance is fantastic and the owner and staff provide stellar customer service. The food is also amazing, you can tell the Chef is fantastic.

We stayed at the Horse and Hound the first week of July. The inside is very clean and spacious- My large family could spread out easily. The backyard is so gorgeous we had several activities going on at the same time: soccer game on the greens and a card game on the patio while two parents were grilling.
The house is very close to area attractions (hiking trails, parks and lakes). In short it’s my new favorite place in the White Mountains area. We plan to go back there next year.

Lovely place! So clean!!! Very cozy and relaxing! Katie the dog greets you right away and is so sweet. We were a group of 8 and enjoyed hanging out all together in the library There’s a great tavern with a warm fireplace. I would defiantly recommend this place!

Incredibly cool old county inn with excellent restaurant! Could not be in any prettier area. The picture is of the stream that runs by the inn.

We are repeat customers. We have been going to the Horse and Hound Inn for several years.. the Inn is comfortable, warm, and relaxing. You can sit in one of the big stuffed chairs in the library room and read or sit by the fire in the bar. The dining room also had a fireplace and the food is always good and the included breakfast is a great way to start the day in Franconia. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Try a night at the Horse and Hound, you will not be disappointed.

We had our wedding at Horse & Hound on Saturday of Memorial day weekend. It was absolutely perfect for our 55 person outdoor wedding (although there is room for plenty more in their beautiful outdoor space). Katy was very helpful along the way and always available to answer questions while planning. All our guests loved the space and couldn't stop talking about how perfect it was for a wedding. I was obsessed with the horse trailer bar, the perfect addition for the "backyard" space. I would 100% recommend the Horse & Hound for your wedding day!

We had a great stay in early October at H&H! Doug made us feel so welcomed and was easily accessible if we needed anything. It’s both out-of-the-way and right by the interstate, so it’s a great choice if you’re looking to do some hiking or spending time in the White Mountains. Breakfast was delicious and I appreciated the contactless check-in. Would definitely stay here again if we decide to tackle the Franconia Ridge Loop again (but it will be a long time haha).

The character of the inn was spectacular with fine craftnanship in every nook and cranny, the breakfast was delicious, and the sheets smelled nice and fresh and everything was clean. There is also a wonderful array of books and good games to play in the library. I am looking forward to my next visit here!
Also the host of the inn was very friendly and gave suggestions and directions for dinner and sites around Franconia.

Beautiful restoration of a classic north country lodge founded in the early days of alpine skiing. A real full breakfast is included in a night's stay. Fine evening dining and a cozy bar and library. 4 minutes to the Peabody base area at Cannon Mt., ticket packages available.

A dining experience, in Mountain Casual Wear. The food is fabulous, decor is very "hunt-club" and rustic elegance... it's gourmet for the refined up-country crowd and definitely *the* place to go for a special occasion.

A truly charming B&B in the heart of Franconia. Hosts are lovely, the grounds are clean and comfy, and the bar/restaurant is a wonderful experience. We hope to be back every year!
