On year 5 I think boarding with D-Bar-W. It is a phenomenal boarding facility with all the amenities you’d look for. Spacious indoor and outdoor arenas with excellent well maintained footing. Manicured trails on site. Stalls are large with automatic waterers. Turn-out fields are well maintained and the horses maintain themselves well with grass consumption over the spring/summer/early fall months. What I like best is they really work with you in letting you manage your horse’s care. Want to feed a different grain/supply extra hay/supplements/customize turnout they will accommodate. Dave and his daughter Maddie also run a wonderful training program in a separate training barn on the property. From dressage horses to colt starting they will put a great foundation on your horse. I currently board a senior gelding and have a 2 yr old gelding in full time training. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area looking for a top notch equestrian facility or program.

We are into our 3rd year at D Bar W and I only wish I would have moved our horse there much sooner. The care that Legend receives from Dave and his staff is second to none. That along with the Dave's training method that Legend and his riders are using has been a game changer. The results that we achieved previously are now being achieved with no fight. We have a horse that WANTS to do the things we ask. When he works he is much more relaxed and happy. We have a HAPPY horse. The transition over the years has been amazing. I look forward to the continuation in this journey and glad D Bar W and it's staff are part of Team Legend!

I was very fortunate to have my pony accepted into Dave's training program at D-Bar Equestrian center through a friends recommendation.
With the tools and training my pony and myself received over the short period of time we have already been able to compete successfully at shows in a calm and happy atmosphere. True horsemanship and talent beyond words, training is conducted with patience and kindness. Highly recommended!

I have been boarding my horse at D Bar W since March of 2014 and I have been extremely happy with the care of my horse since I have been there. The farm is owned and operated by the Weber family. They take care of everything from the resident animals, the facility and down to the details such as the landscaping and everything in between.
Food: My horse receives ample amounts of high quality hay that is grown right on the farm. The amount of grain my horse receives can easily vary by the level of his working needs as we go from show seasons to off seasons. I also provide D Bar W with a supplement which they give to my horse with his feed. Weather permitting and at owner discretion, horses are turned out on nicely managed grass fields. Horses can also go out in individual turnout paddocks and the horses also stay in the paddocks during the winter. I first realized the value of the nutrition program here when I took my horse to a 3 days show. In the past the last day was always tough on my horse as I thought he was just tired. In May of 2014, I took my horse to the same 3 days show and on the last day he had the most energy he had ever had, and I attribute that to the increased nutrition he received at D Bar W. The horses are turned out and fed on a regular daily schedule. On Sundays the horses are not turned out, but they are given hay at lunch time in addition to their regular meals. All the stalls, fields and paddocks have automatic waters for the horses. They provide plenty of bedding in each of the stalls.
Facility: D Bar W has a huge outdoor arena with jumps. There are several trails that boarder the property. The indoor also provides plenty of space for a jump course. We often have lessons and boarders riding together and space is not an issue. For lessons there are three resident trainers and I can also bring in a trainer to work with. The indoor footing is dragged and watered on a regular basis and the outdoor footing is also dragged on a regular basis. There is a bathroom in the boarding barn. We also can make use of a warm and cold-water wash stall and two tacking stalls. I have a lower tack locker where I keep my two saddles and an upper tack locker where I keep my grooming and horse care items. If anything at the facility is “out of order” we can contact the owner and repairs are made as soon as possible, generally within the week.
Care: I can bring any vet, farrier, chiropractor or dentist to see my horse. If he needs to stay in for a visit I leave a note on my stall door and he is taken care of. When I leave for a show we have a sign out sheet for horses. I leave a note with any food, supplement and hay requests for my time away from the farm and the requested items are set aside and ready to go for me. Horses are led in by hand from the paddocks to their stalls. At this time, they are checked and provided any care that may be needed. At the end of every night the barn manager does a final walkthrough of the barns to check on the horses and the facility.
Overall D Bar W provides a great facility for the horse and rider. We have every level of rider and every type of riding discipline. This farm is truly a quiet and relaxing environment with great boarders. Schedule a visit and you will see how happy our horses and boarders are at this farm!

I have four horses. Three came from the D-Bar-W Equestrian Center. Over the years I have also purchased several calves from Dave Weber. He is an honest businessman and sells quality livestock. As a horse trainer Dave is the best. I have several friends who put their horses in Dave's training program. He has helped horse and rider establish a true partnership. I have observed that the horses in Dave's training program and the horses boarded at his facility receive excellent care. I am 76 years old and I am still riding. I have had many riding instructors over the years. The lessons giving at this facility by Dave and his colleague, Jon Mallory, are by far the best that I have received. These lessons have enabled me to enjoy my trail rides through communication with light aides. I was taught the “feel" of my horses.

Over the past year, a number of Sugar Hill Farm horses were fortunate enough to be accepted into Dave's training program at D Bar W Equestrian! Having also sent two employees to participate in his apprenticeship program, the strengths of these wonderful opportunities became very apparent for horses and riders alike! Freedom in Obedience has become the foundation for all my young horses bred on the farm. The horses are brought along with consistent ground manners until they are ready to be saddle trained. The program continues on here with the basics practiced by all my staff. Freedom in Obedience has become a true and constant element in creating willing, friendly, easy to work with youngsters! Our horses and staff are fortunate to have the benefit of learning this program! Betsy Kubiak, Owner, Sugar Hill Farm Victor NY

Love boarding my OTTB event prospect here! The care is excellent (always a consistent schedule, owners are super responsive, boarder horses are treated so gently) and because of that, all the horses are happy and relaxed. I've never boarded at a place where the barn is so quiet just the sound of boarders chatting and horses eating. Would highly recommend for boarding! Plus, there are two great coaches there (Dave and Jon) to work on your horsemanship, groundwork, or riding.

We had the privilege of having our pony at D-Bar-W for three months, one of the best decisions we have made regarding horses & horsemanship. Our two daughters also took riding lessons with Madelyn while Dave was training Misty. Madelyn was very kind, precise, and thorough! The girls learned a lot about riding and also about handling horses properly. In the end the girls were both riding Misty, who went from a rebellious eight-year-old broodmare to a spirited, obedient, fun to ride pony. Our daughter learned enough to continue the training here at home. The pony is amazing and our daughters are very happy!

D Bar W is a top notch equestrian center! Our daughter’s first pony was purchased from Dave and his family almost four years ago. We recently began taking lessons with Madelyn and my daughter’s skill and confidence have improved significantly in just the short time since we started. It’s truly a wholeistic approach...not just riding but ground work and horsemanship! Just like Isabella and Maximus click- so does Isabella and Madelyn! We love DBarW!
