I HIGHLY recommend!!!! From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but as soon as you walk in it is as if you’ve been transported out of the country. The service is so friendly and inviting it felt like we were at a friend’s home. And the food is top notch! You can tell the chef’s are passionate and value great quality and excellence, because you can taste it through the food. We had a dinner box w/ bulgogi & a Bulgogi dinner (12oz meat). We couldn’t believe how delicious every single item was!
And coupled with the atmosphere..it is so relaxing and peaceful we left their feeling like we had just went to a spa. Seriously. It was our first visit and there will be many more trips to Wakyoto Japanese Restaurant in the future!

This was a very good sushi spot in the middle of an area we wouldn’t expect good sushi. The staff are super nice and friendly. The miso soup is just right not too salty. The rolls are wonderfully! We highly recommend the Alaskan Roll. We got it twice.

The spicy ramen was delicious and all the other dishes my family shared were exceptional. The only disappointment I had was living 5 hours away from this great restaurant.

Very much a hidden gem hole in the wall restaurant. The service was top notch, the food was incredible! Absolutely recommend the eggrolls, they arent quite what you would expect! I will say the only downside to this place is the adjoining suite is a nail salon, and you can smell a faint hint of nail polish remover, however you get accustomed to it quickly. Absolutely would recommend!

Very good food! Dont let the outside of building scare you (looks can be deceiving) everybody said they were not expecting the food & service to be as great as it was.

Service is excellent and I recommend the wakyoto special roll. The music is odd but provides a unique ambiance. Pretty sure we heard an orchestral version of the duck dance.

This place was a fantastic little gem here in Branson. I always get a little nervous ordering sushi this far south MO, but this was surprisingly great! The rolls were flavorful! Lil spicy for us panzies but worth the heat! Oh and the Viking Roll literally comes out on fire 😂😂😂 and it had an amazing smoky taste because of it! Would come back for sure!

Oh and the staff was incredibly sweet and on top of it. Even the workers that were not our waitress, made sure our cups never ran dry! Love seeing great service!

Only negative is the calamari was weird. It doesn't come out traditional it comes out looking like taquitos. Not very flavorful.

What we ordered-

Calamari 5/10
Wakyoto Roll 10/10
Viking Fire Roll 10/10
Raw Roll 10/10
Philadelphia Roll 8/10

My favorite sushi place in SWMO. I usually do take-out but on my last pick-up, one of the ladies told me I should dine in next time (didn't catch her name, but so kind!). I dined in today and the atmosphere and service were excellent. Gavin was super friendly, funny, and made some delicious suggestions! A great lunch with dessert to go (also delicious).

Went to Wakyoto for the first time tonight and loved it! Very chill and classy atmosphere. Our server John was very polite and did an excellent job. And wow, the food was amazing. Our group shared a Teriyaki Chicken dinner plate, Spicy Crab Roll, and dinner box. Every single item was flavored excellently! Even the food presentation was impressive. We absolutely loved the whole experience. Will definitely be going back and recommending it to others.

We happened upon this place kind of by accident. Oh my, have we been missing out! We fell in love with the food, service and atmosphere. Don't let the outside fool you! If you are looking for the best oriental cuisine, this is it!

For a little Branson strip mall sushi place it was a great tasting experience. My wife and I enjoyed our sushi and the service was stellar. It was a slow time of year for Branson in February and there was no wait for seating or sushi. The atmosphere was nice.. dimly lit and with the partitioned seating felt more private. The rolls all tasted good and there were a lot of choices on their menu. If you're visiting Branson and want some good sushi Wakyoto is the place to go.

Don’t be fooled by the outward appearance. This is the best sushi I have had in a long time! The wait staff is impeccable and the food matches it. It has a very laid back atmosphere and is just the place for a romantic date or relaxing supper. This is a 10 for 10 in my books!

We've been to many sushi places in Branson, Phoenix, california, etc. And this place is absolutely amazing! Especially for being in the Midwest, the fish tasted fresh, was tender, filled with flavor, the rice was perfectly sweet and had a good amount of vinegar. The price is slightly higher than most, but it's justified. Our service was amazing, and they made us feel at home.

We are locals, and we will go no place else for quality sushi, and will be our regular place now.

We have always had a great experience at Wakyotos! My husband and I typically get the box special with a sushi roll and another dinner. We have had a lot of different types of sushi rolls and have loved them all. I have had the chicken and shrimp teriyaki and the spicy crab rolls multiple times. They are a favorite along with the Wakyoto special roll. The miso soup and salad comes with the box along with many other yummy items. We have always had fast and friendly service, and there is a nice, quiet ambiance here.

We headed here on a whim just to try it out. Not disappointed at all. We had gotten a tempura vegetable appetizer that was thoroughly enjoyable. The bulgogi was delicious and the sushi beautifully prepared. Definitely a place we intend on stopping in again.
