Bootleg BBQ

First visit to this restaurant in my hometown. Had buffalo mac and cheese which was awesome! I asked for a mild version, not on fire, and that's what I got...it was delicious! The serving size was unbelievable, I've got another lunch this week. Check them out, the decor is great and the service was really good...very friendly, a great exp!

We enjoyed a great lunch in a warm friendly atmosphere with excellent service. The sandwich and burger were piled high and the meat was tender. The fries were crispy with the right amount of salt.

Wow , what a hidden Gem . Cozy Quaint place with a home style atmosphere that provides a laid back experience. Fred and Brittany are a dynamic duo whom accompany with great charm and warmth. The food was fresh and really reminded me of being back down south . Clean Friendly and out of all Delicious .

What a cute little restaurant. We went for lunch on our way thru town and it was delicious hot and fresh. All of the meat was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend you stop in for a bite to eat!

Great environment that is welcoming and warm. The staff is very attentive and the food is great!! Dry ribs after 4:00 for dinner are amazing, and the specials are creative comfort food. Definitely worth the trip!

Fred does the best BBQ around, and the proprietary beef burgers are amazing!

Such a great spot on the Farm Coast! Great stop post beach or anytime. The best brisket I have ever had hands down. They also have all the Westport Rivers and Buzzard’s Bay Brewerry drinks available. Also, they play great music.

The atmosphere is great ..they have good music playing ..sports on the TV.. great for the family to enjoy a meal or out on a date or with friends. Mix drinks are yummy and the food is really really good ..and the service is amazing ..always greeting with a smile when you walk in like you are stepping into their home not a restaurant and great attitudes to match..I would recommend this place 100%

Just happened to come across this place. Great lunch stop for us. Fried pickles were a nice start. Wife's burger looked good and the fries looked amazing. No complaints from her. I had the mac-n-cheese topped with brisket. It was so good, and a HUGE portion. We will be back to try some of the specials.

Excellent local BBQ! Delicious Mac and cheese with smokey, tender pulled pork on top, just bursting with flavor! Great atmosphere with friendly staff!

Went for dinner with our 5 year old son, they made him a grilled cheese. Fries are perfection, and sandwiches were perfect! Couldn't not get the cheese curds, so glad we did. Love a bottled soda, way better than flat fountain other places serve!! Small and cozy, waitresses were kind and helpful, cool outdoor area available but it was a windy night. Will 100% go back.

Great food and great service. The pulled pork sandwich is my fav, and the fries are awesome!

We went for dinner tonight with another couple and had the best baby back ribs I’ve ever had in this area. The smoked flavor was perfect- not overdone. The ribs were very tender, and so easy to eat off the bone. There was also a lot more meat on them than expected. We tried an order of the chicken wings and they were also terrific. Cole slaw was excellent, not soggy and with a great flavor. Corn bread was good but very dry. We will definitely be back frequently as we all loved the food, and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner also came over to make sure we were happy. You bet we were!

We’ve been wanting to try this place and so glad we finally did! Brittney was our server and she was so friendly and attentive. She was helpful with answering any questions and giving recommendations. We got the mac n cheese with brisket, brisket sandwhich, fries, corn bread, and a mac n cheese for my daughter. Everything was so flavorful and delicious with good sized portions! Brisket can be dry at times, but not here! Lots of flavor too. We didn’t have much room, but ordered the fried Oreos anyway and also glad we did. We will definitely be back to try the smash burgers and ribs!

Went here during off hours. Picked my seat. Server was actually the bar tender, super friendly, and super prompt. I didnt realize the bartender was going to be my server as well, otherwise i would have sat inside to make her life easier, HOWEVER, she was still super friendly. Great parking, easy to get to. Brisket sandwich was EXCELLENT. Ill be going back!

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was pretty busy, but we were sat quickly, and despite the packed house, our lunch and beers were served very quickly. The Smash-burger with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and onions was awesome, served with plenty of fries, which were very good. My wife had the pulled pork mac and cheese, which she really enjoyed. The serving was huge, with plenty of leftovers. We have no complaints and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Shared the Pappy Platter with the loml. Delicious - brisket was melt in your mouth tender, and not fatty. Pulled pork just as tender without that “lighter fluid scent flavor” that can sometimes be found at other BBQ establishments. Baby back ribs - meaty and fall-off bone tender. BBQ sauce - yummy - not too sweet/smoky, and enhanced the flavor of the meats. Coleslaw was super fresh. Fried pickles - crisp and fresh, not overdone. Good selection of beer/wine especially from local breweries/wineries. Plentiful parking! The owner and waitstaff - friendly/down to earth. We will be back!

I’ve been there numerous times, I’ve had take out, and dine in, food has been delicious each time, brisket, cheeseburgers, fries, Mac and cheese with brisket on top, are a few I’ve tried.
The staff what’s been excellent, friendly, helpful, really felt comfortable there. The owner even came over to our table for awhile, Fred is a good man..

Some of the best food I’ve had recently. The food was delicious the service was responsive and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. Westport is lucky to have a place like this. Everything is delicious from the broccoli têmpora to the brisket! Also, the burgers are not to be slept on. Don’t miss out!
