Actual authentic Mexican food! The owner use to be the owner of Real Jalisco, which was in Blue Springs. The queso fundido is fantastic! My personal favorite is the street tacos! Worth checking out!

Never disappointed when I eat at El Tucán. The portions are plenty, I always need a to-go box. Met with some old friends and we stayed longer than normal, never felt like they wanted us to leave. Zero complaints, other than we all wished we could've stayed longer, lol. So glad we have an amazing restaurant with folks whom are passionate about providing a top notch spot for our little town to enjoy. I absolutely love that I can try something new each time, I don't believe there is any menu item not worth getting. I hope this jewel of a restaurant can stand the test of time and be here for years to come. Highly recommend!!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is your place. I followed this restaurant from it's original location in Blue Springs to the Odessa location. I've tried many items on the menu and every option has been flavorful, unique and tasty. Don't forget to get a margarita or ice cold beer to go along with your meal.
Rather go non alcoholic? Try the Mexican sodas. NOW open 7 days a week!

The place to go if you want authentic Mexican. The Queso Fundido is to die for, it's a favorite we get every time. I don't think we've ever gotten something we didn't like here. The service is fast, efficient and overall stellar.

This place has really good food, not the cookie cutter type of Mexican food that most "Mexican" restaurants have. Even thought we have 4 Mexican restaurants in our town, we'll be making this trip regularly

As an over-the-road truck driver, I’m definitely remembering this place. You may not want to bring all 18 wheels in here, but there’s plenty room for bobtails.
I don’t know if I’ve ever been in a more authentic Mexican restaurant in the USA.

Not only was the food amazing! As well as the atmosphere and staff. The owner was also especially thoughtful and kind. He helped us try to get our car started that had broke down across the street. I would definitely give this restaurant my business again!

This is the best restaurant in the area. They make some of the best Mexican dishes I’ve ever had. Food was so good I forgot to take a pictures before I ate it all lolol. But don’t worry, I will be back and get some pictures for sure. I highly recommend Tacos Callejeros with steak…. Best tacos you will ever have.. period.

The food is delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. I’ve eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed. Their birrias tacos are amazing! There are vegetarian options on the menu as well. There is a bar, although I’ve not tried any of their drinks.
The dining area is open with large windows on the south side so it’s very light. It’s kid friendly. It can be loud because it is so open, and there’s no sense of intimacy which is the reason for the 4 for atmosphere. The decor is lovely and they have done a great job with the space.
The food though is what I’m about which is why I’ve even gotten it to go. You can’t go wrong here. Go. Now! You’re welcome in advance.

My family & I ate here last night. We were ALL extremely impressed and I highly recommend you give them a go! I am not one to write reviews but they are very deserving of 5 stars. Without a doubt, we will be returning very soon!

They were short staffed... One waitress running the whole place... And I mean she was actually running and doing all the work. The food is very high end, classy, reasonable prices, in a small town, hope the locals appreciate what they have. The restaurant was full, we had to wait. It was worth it.

I've eaten here and it's not your typical Tex-Mex upgrade from Taco Bell that you get at some of these other places this is authentic but it's not necessarily what you are used to if you go to the chain restaurants. The food is great and tasty and fresh. The service is excellent The owner actually came out and talked to us about the food and about what we were doing and they were so kind and we're so attentive but not in your face either. I didn't get to take a picture at the time but they have this meal for two which is enormous and so good with just a little bit of kick to it. It's actually pictured in what someone else's review above. If you want the regular upgrade from Taco don't come here but if you want authentic and amazing food you will find something here.

Second time this week we’ve been here. The food is hot, freshly made and delicious. Full of flavor and just enough spice. They were careful about Gluten cross contamination. Servers and the owners are attentive, friendly and prompt. Definitely worth the drive. Try the Tequila Martini! It’s happiness in a glass
