Lost Lake

Beautiful woodland trail all the way to Lost Lake. Be prepared to walk on wood plank boards, ground can be quite mushy. View of lake most fantastic.

The hike down to the lake is a peaceful escape. Half of the lake is dry and more like a grassland.

Great trail, flat. This would be a challenge for people with reduced mobility considering the surfaced roots and flooded bog areas. This trail around the lake is set inside of a little dune ravine and hosts a beautiful little lake that's ripe with wildlife. I've heard barred owls here before and seen a variety of birds, frogs and turtles. The trail is dirt with boarded areas where the waters have risen and there are two small bridges that go over little creeks. I've seen this lake dry up almost completely and flood so bad you can't access half of the trail. Mosquitos get bad in the warm fall months.

Stunning

quiet peaceful

It is enjoyable to walk and "get lost" in the trails at the lively Luge center, with Lost Lake setting the goal. Walking around the loop, I was surprised to be educated by the signs posted around by staff. Thank you, for making the experience even more stimulating! The pond brings even more life forms
