Outer Banks Boil Company

We had a great experience from Outer Banks Boil Company in Avon! Everything was super fresh and delicious. They supply the proteins you pick, corn, sausage and potatoes - as well as the spices and the pot to cook it in! The instructions were super easy, they make available for very reasonable costs the extras you might need like butter, cocktail sauce, crab crackers, tablecloths etc. They were even kind enough to accommodate special instructions for allergies/spices and called to confirm the order. This is a new tradition for us and one we'll continue the next time we come back, it was so easy and cost effective vs going out based on the quality of seafood we received (crab, lobster tail, mussels, scallops and shrimp).

We ordered this past Tuesday for our first annual hatteras vacation and we could NOT have been happier or more full. Thank you so much for an absolutely delicious meal and perfect explanation for a first timer, everything came out perfect and delicious and it made me look like a perfect chef for all my friends. Unfortunately did not get the full tray picture because we couldn’t wait to get into it. Will be a tradition from here on out!!

We were not sure what to expect but wow what an awesome dinner! Top notch service provided by Anthony. Also they took the time to ride over to Ocracoke and cook the boil here at our rental house. Keep up the great work and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

If you want a new tradition added to your OBX vacation this is where you would find it, at Outer Banks Boil in Hatteras. We had never had a boil before . We ordered the basic boil and added on clams and crab legs. You can design your own menu. The food was great and tasted amazing! So fresh and delicious. The spice blend was top notch!! Chris was excellent. He came to our house cooked, served and cleaned up. Boil Boys enjoyed talking to Chris as he cooked . He also shared stories about OBX with the whole family. We ask Chris to give our little ones a Blackbeard treasure map we made ahead. This extended our Boil adventure to the next day when they found buried treasure on the beach . Already looking forward to next year booking our boil!!

Outer Banks Boil Company recently catered a dinner for our party of 12 at a vacation rental and it was amazing! Right from the start, their communication was outstanding. They were proactive in sending a reminder email ahead of our trip and ensured everything was on track by texting a few hours before the dinner to confirm our time slot.

Our chef, Anthony, was a gem. He took complete charge of the evening, allowing us to relax and enjoy our drinks while he prepared a feast. And boy, what a feast it was! We indulged in the classic boil featuring jumbo shrimp, andouille sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and onions. To this, we added some delicious cornbread and their succulent bbq pork. Each mouthful was packed with flavor, every ingredient expertly cooked to perfection.

Anthony ensured we had ample time to savor our meal. After we finished, he swiftly cleaned up, leaving no trace of the feast that had taken place. He thoughtfully packed the few leftovers and left our table spotless, ready for our game night.

In summary, our experience with Outer Banks Boil Company was nothing short of amazing. Their attention to detail, delicious food, and impeccable service made our evening unforgettable. One of the standout aspects of our experience was the sheer convenience. We didn't need to coordinate multiple cars to transport our group to a restaurant, only to wait an hour for a table (trust me, we did this two nights later). We didn't have to stress over designated drivers for the journey back home, either. This added layer of comfort and convenience made the entire experience more enjoyable and relaxed, allowing us to focus on the moment and each other. I'd absolutely order from Outer Banks Boil Company again.

Food was the best and instructions were spot on. We grabbed our pots to go and steamed em ourselves. Came out amazing and cooked perfect. Seasoning was lights out awesome. We come down here for a week every year and it was the best meal of the week. Picture is after we hammered down half of the order.

Our beloved server shouted ‘who’s your crawdaddy?!’ and ‘let’s get cray!’ as he came out of his shell and did a Carolina jig. It was so corny, so spicy, we hankered for more. No special o-Cajun needed - don’t hesitate to order your own party-in-a-pot today.

Just remember: the (lemon) juice is temporary, but the SAUSAGE is forever!

Wonderful experience. Chris showed up with all of the set ups and fixings. Boiled our meal for 20 people and laid it on the table. So yummy and more than enough!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Chris and Bertie offered exceptional service and the food was mouthwatering. Having it catered at the beach house was the best decision as we could just sit back and enjoy. Do yourself a favor and just book it…and GET THE SCALLOPS!!!!

Called to inquire and got Chris. Awesome guy. First time trying and we got it to go and cooked it at home. Evidently they will come and cook for you for 10 or more people but unfortunately since it was so last minute all they could accommodate was a to-go order. They provided everything we needed to steam it at home. Directions were spot on and seafood was very fresh. If you're in that salvo area we're down in Hatteras or anyplace else that's even remotely close you definitely want to try this place.

Chris came to our rental house set the table cooked everything for us! Was very friendly and fun to chat with while he was here!
Most importantly the food was phenomenal! Highly recommend and will call again on our next trip!

Fantastic from start to finish! What a feast! I would upload photos but the seafood wS gone before I knew it! And yes. You outdid my Low Country Boil! Thanks again for a wonderful culinary experience! We will be back!

Chris, the manager/owner of OBBC Avon, could no have been more helpful and friendly. We opted for the boil to be done in our home. The food was done to perfection! Had the best seasoned shrimp ever. Would definitely use their food service again.

I highly recommend upgrading to the catered option. Chris and Billy were very personable and did everything, so the meal was stress-free for us and required no effort on our part. We were extremely pleased with the amount and the quality of the food. My husband does not eat seafood, but he was a huge fan of the andouille sausage. It had a nice kick to it. Everyone at the beach house enjoyed the experience from start to finish. We will be repeat customers for sure!

Better than we could have expected with loads of shrimp. The secret spices are off the hook. Anthony was a great host and even danced to YMCA with our group. The beginnings of a really special night. I would highly recommend.

We had Chris come to our beach house on vacation & cook our seafood boil. He was so friendly & a great down to earth guy. The food was FANTASTIC & the experience was amazing! Our entire family was impressed! Highly recommended! We even stopped in the store & picked up some "secret seasoning" to take back home with us. DELICIOUS!

What a great experience. Prepared quickly and we brought home to cook ourselves. Easy to do and boy was it delicious!!!! We ordered the crab pot for 4 and there was plenty of food. Highly recommend!!!!!

Aidan was super fun, outgoing and competent especially for it only being his second boil alone. He led with charm and friendly demeanor and everyone enjoyed the meal. Excellent take out boil. The seafood was outstanding. We did shrimp, mussels, clams and snow crab for 5. There were six of us. We could have done for 4 and had plenty. Highly recommend.
