Aunny's Country Kitchen

Delicious food. Great oxtail and fried chicken. Sides of squash casserole, okra and tomatoes, butter beans and okra. Everything was amazing. Save room for dessert- Banana pudding-Sweet potato pie. Both are the best we have ever had.

Found this little place, best shrimp and grits ever. Just of rt 17 south in Georgetown south Carolina. I ordered the hamburger steak. it was awesome seasoned with something I have never tasted. Very good wife had the shrimp and grits, cooked to perfection. The corn off the cob it also was some of the best corn I have put in my mouth. Now the corn muffins no words just make that turn into town and try it.

My family and me, went to Aunny’s and had a great time! Food was outstanding and filling. Great portions and price point. The staff was friendly and parking was good. Extra kudos on the dessert.

We were visiting S. Carolina from Ohio and it was suggested we eat at Aunny's to get a taste of original Gullah cuisine. We stopped in and ordered the fried whiting, sweet potato pie, ribs, mac and cheese and cabbage. Everything was delicious!! Hot, crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. My two daughters told us later that visiting Aunny's and going to the beach were the best parts of their vacation!!! We will definitely be back the next time we come down.

Excellent food. The waitress we had was awesome. Her name was Mercy. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the vibe, the music, the beautiful smile on the cooks face, i didn't get her name, but she can cook. If we lived closer, I would eat there every week. I will say that Aunny's is a major reason we will go to Georgetown more often.

Food was great and the service was prompt. Home cooked.. somebody grandma is in the kitchen cooking.

This is SOUL FOOD. The reviews that say anything less are funny to me. I’m from the south so I have an appreciation for soul food. My crowd of 6 ate it up. It’s casual and laid back. Come with an empty stomach and leave stuffed.

We love to stop at local places to try the food wherever we travel.
Sometimes we're disappointed...but this was not one of those times!

Mercy was our server, and she was not only helpful, she was very personable.
The food was ah-mazing, and it's obvious a lot of love goes into it.

I had the shrimp & grits w/gravy, w/butter beans/okra, and Cole slaw.
My daughter had the Mac n cheese & sweet corn.

Husband had the ribs & yellow rice.

We all had a corn muffin, with peach cobbler for dessert.

None of us wanted to share our food but we did. Lol.

We will most definitely be stopping here again on our next time through.

Tried the basic eggs, bacon & grits breakfast. It was great. Staff went out of their way to make sure that I had what I needed, even going out to pick up syrup for the single pancake that I had ordered. Will be returning in the future. A great experience.

First trip to Georgetown. First trip to Aunny's. Will not be my last visit to Aunny's. Great breakfast on a cold day. The grits are amazing and the best I have ever had. Clean, warm, and perfectly priced. Our server was friendly and helpful on local information.

Oh my! What a find and thank you Google for showing us this as an option. The service was fantastic a d I was so excited for lunch. Aunny's mom was our server and she was a dear. We tried the gumbo, the fried chicken and shrimp/fish platter. Everything was delightful! The chicken was crispy and the chicken juicy. I also had fried corn. Do not knock it till you try it. Sweet crispy breading and yummy corn. The collard greens were good. Ac and cheese was not for me, but it was classic baked Mac and cheese. The baked beans were also good. The gumbo had good flavor, was hot and made me smile. Highly recommend!

I'm still talking about this place two years later!! Living in Canada all my life, I had never tasted "Southern cooking" until I met my husband. Then, we traveled here, and it was an if Aunny let us into her home for lunch. The place was busy, but it was Sunday after church. Staff and patrons were friendly and the food was delicious! We'd definitely recommend this place!

Large portions of delicious food served by friendly people with gospel music playing all the time! Mama Jane brought desserts over for us to enjoy! Don't miss a chance to eat here!

This is the Best restaurant in Georgetown South Carolina. And the waitresses are just like Angels very kind very sweet very adorable nothing better than having special angels as waitresses. Keep up the amazing work touching everyone's hearts in South Carolina. Your Truest Friend Angel Darrin ❤

Found this place on Google while craving BBQ. We walked in to a whole in the wall. The food was delicious, the service was great even though they had a full house. I had the chicken and waffles, my husband had the BBQ ribs. The chicken was fried to perfection and the ribs were falling off the bone delicious. If you are looking for some good southern cooking, this is the place to go if you're in the area.

When or if you're ever in Georgetown, South Carolina, and you're hungry from walking along Front Street, and you want an introductory taste of "Low Country" soul food inspired by the Gullah Geechee culture, give Aunny's a try! You'll enjoy their palette of chicken, beef and seafood dishes, that'll matriculate you over to their "mouth watering" desserts! They're modestly priced and you'll probably purchase a dessert, to munch on later on!

What a wonderful, authentic place to eat. You feel like in Mom‘s kitchen - the people are wonderful and very friendly, the food authentic Southern style. Eating at Aunny‘s will set you back in time and makes you feel at home.

We LOVED our meal at Aunny’s. All the food was absolutely delicious and HOT. Plus, the ladies that run this place are delightful. Definitely get one of Mama Jane’s desserts too. Delicious!
