Flys and Guides

My son and I had two terrific days with Flys and Guides. My son works at a fly shop in PA and we got the inside scoop on the Flys and Guides team, and they did not disappoint! With a just right balance of professionalism, knowledge and easy delivery of guidance, the team gave us one of our all time best fishing experiences. Although, next year I would prefer I get the bigger fish!

You won’t find a better guide duo than Jeremy and Lisa at Fly’s and Guides. I have used them 3 times now and they helped my buddy and I land 11 browns in the boat on our most recent trip. It included my personal best of a 24in brown trout. They are amazing all around with their personalities along with their knowledge of the waters and where to get to the fish. You won’t be disappointed booking with them!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Flys and Guides experience while staying at The Bull Shoals State Park last week. Darrin was friendly, extremely helpful, and informative about questions we had concerning the area, the river, and fly fishing. A great store for all your fly needs!

Buddy and I took a quick trip for the weekend and on day one only caught one brown and a few rainbows. Morning of day two we stopped by Flys and Guides and talked with Jeremy and Lisa and had a much better idea of how to catch them! Don't make the same mistake we did make sure to go by Flys and Guides on day 1!

I recently had the pleasure of fishing for two full days with Jeremy Hunt of Flys and Guides, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you set foot in his boat, Jeremy's expertise and passion for the sport are evident. His deep knowledge and teaching was instrumental to our success, yet he also knew when to step back, allowing for moments of solitude along the beautiful White and Norfork rivers. Jeremy not only provided technical tips but also openly shared his knowledge of entomology, which made for an amazing learning experience. The abundance of fish we caught on both rivers was a testament to Jeremy's intimate knowledge of his home waters.

On top of the great fishing, Jeremy Hunt has some of the most impressive fly shops I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. And, he took the time and effort to get me set up with my first fly tying vise and a bunch of materials, a process that started via text well ahead of my trip. We spent the evenings in his shop talking about our day on the water and learning to tie flies with his super knowledgeable staff.

This trip came at the perfect time for me, and I did something I don’t usually do, I traveled solo – no fishing buddy in tow. I needed a break from my day to day and needed to clear my head. Jeremy and the crew at the Flys and Guides made me feel right at home, as if I was a part of their shop family.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jeremy Hunt and his knowledgeable guide staff, or at a minimum visiting one of their amazing shops. Well worth my drive from Atlanta! Looking forward to getting back out soon!

Lisa is hands down one of the best guides. No matter how difficult the setup is to put you on fish, or how many combinations needed to find fish, she will make it happen! She and her family have the best kept secret on white river, Flys and Guides fly shop. Stop by download some of her amazing knowledge and load up on some flies. If you’re lucky you can get on her calendar and have one of the most educational and fun fishing trips of your life while you’re at it.

We Had the most wonderful experience talking to Jeremy! He gave us such great info! Best experience I have ever had in a fly shop! Not only did he help us dial in on the fishery he even Lent us an anchor, since we forgot ours. He had an amazing selection of flies and gear! Jeremy and Lisa Hunt run an impressive show at Flys and Guides. Lovely people, two well accoutered fly shops with lots of good quality merchandise. The women’s Evolve hat with ponytail holder and great fit is my new favorite! Their guide trips were awesome, even in the hottest dog days of this blistering summer. Fun times! We’ll be back!

Being my first trip to The White, I felt extremely fortunate to have met the team at Flys and Guides. They offer a no fluff fly shop with everything you could need to be successful and nothing you don't. Darrin was an open book when I first visited the shop and supplied me with the same nymphs I later learned the rest of the Flys and Guides team was out using on a scouting trip that day.

These guys never came off as pretentious and I was fortunate enough to enjoy some conversations about tackle, technique, and the industry as a whole. I'm in quite a few shops over the course of a year, and these guys truly are an A+ experience. Keep it up guys.

My wife and I visited the White River on our way from Montana to warmer temps in Florida.

We had the good fortune of dropping into the Flies and Guides fly shop at Copper John’s and talked with Jeremy.

Jeremy seemed to know the White River and the North Fork of the White (Norfork) intimately.

Jeremy suggested we float the Norfork and to use some rather unique and innovative flies that he ties himself. Equipped with Jeremy’s secret flies and some sound advice, we hit the Norfork the following morning.

Shortly into our drift on the beautiful Norfork a huge brown ate Jeremy’s fly and I landed the fish we came to the White River to catch. The fish measured 26” and probably weighed in at 7-8 lbs.

I can’t recommend Jeremy’s shop and guide service highly enough. You will be happy you chose to use their shop and services, I promise you.

Unbelievable experience with Jeremy and Lisa on the White River. If your in, are near Bull Shoals you need to go see these guys. They are very knowledgeable about where to fish and what to fish with. Been doing business with Flys & guides for over a year. First started visiting there fly shop in Lakeview, AR. They have a first class selection of flies, equipment and supplies you would need. There display of flies was impressive from its organization and being able to find what you need. If you can't find it they know where it is. Jeremy and Lisa are both knowledgeable on the art of fly fishing. They aren't afraid to share their knowledge on which flies are working or giving tips for you to have a successful fishing experience. Used Jeremy as a guide to help hone my skills. Very patient and taking to time to show me how to improve. Their web page is also very good. From information on fishing Taneycomo, North Fork and White River. Finding fies you are looking for is also easy on the website. They also share information about some of the top flies to use. All in good people to work with and their goal feels to me they want to make sure all their customers are happy and have fun fishing. Had an amazing day on the water with Jeremy. He knows his stuff and will get you on fish.
I don’t get to fish big water much so he helped me with my casting, and taught me some tricks with dead drifting from boats. He is a down to earth guy and made the day on the boat a lot of fun. If you are looking for a guide on the White River, Flys and Guides is the place.

I have been using flys and guides for more than five years and we are always successful at catching lots of fish. Our last trip was Nov 13-15, 2024. If you are willing to take instruction, Jeremy will also make you a better fly fisherman! Flys and Guides outfitting shops are top of the line and the flies are a really great quality and value. Jeremy and his team take care of all the details required for a great float and a great time on the water. You will not be disappointed with the service or the catching! One of the best days I've ever had on the river. I walked into flies and guides shop close to the campground I was staying at. It was immediately impressed by the large number of quality flies he had. We talked for a bit. I decided to hire him for the day. He gave me a great price. His knowledge of both the white and the North fork River was extremely impressive. He didn't just take me fishing. I learned a lot that day. He went into detail and telling me some of the river's secrets. Jeremy and Lisa are great. Personal friends now and great guides. They're extremely knowledgeable and I think in a pinch would give you the shirt off their back. I know they're a huge part relating to my success on both these rivers. Thanks again guys!

Flys & Guides is the best! I have been buying flies from Jeremy for at least 20 years. His flies are excellent quality. Jeremy's service is even better. He wants you to have success with his flies and he always goes the extra mile. I ordered some flies from his website recently, he called me at 7:00 in the evening to make sure he was sending what I wanted. Do business with Jeremy he will take care of you!

If you want to have a great time and catch fish, you should fish with Jeremy and Lisa. I invited a good friend who had no fly fishing experience and Jeremy not only taught him how to cast a fly line, but also put him on about 15 nice bows. Jeremy always works hard to give his guests the best opportunity to catch fish.
Flys and Guides is also one of the best fly shops I’ve been in. You will never see a better inventoried fly selection anywhere.
If you’re planning a trip to the White or Norfork, you owe it to yourself to fish with Flys and Guides.

This was the second time that my boyfriend and I went out with Lisa. While my boyfriend is a serious and accomplished fly fisherman, I am quite a novice. All of this can be intimidating when you truly have no clue (like me) of what you're doing. But Lisa was awesome in giving advice and helping me with my technique. Not only about casting but importantly, setting the hook so I could actually reel one in. It worked too because I caught my first ever Brown Trout. I then proceeded to reel in about 6-8 more Rainbow. She just made the day so fun. I can't wait to fish with her again.

Great day chasing fish on the White with Jake! Jake was able to put us on numerous stock rainbows to start our trip including a couple recently added cutties. The afternoon found us hunting the C&R waters above the park. Once again Jake came through and was able to get us into a few of the famous White River browns and some quality rainbows including a 26" stud to end our day. We definitely will be fishing with "Flies and Guides" in the near future.

Lisa guided us today and she did a fantastic job reading the water and knowing which flies would catch. She was organized, cheerful, professional AND got us on some great fishing, including a 2 foot brown trout! Thanks for a great day on the White!
