West Bridgewater Country Club

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but I am a regular here for many years on Sunday mornings and all of the staff from Lyman, Charlie, Gord, Chuck and Rich etc. are beyond kind, nice and considerate. I cannot say enough good things about the all of the staff. I golf all over New England and this course is one of the best around (kudos to the grounds folks). Greens are some the best around in my opinion. Course layout can be tricky too which I love. 1st hole alone. Don't go left (water) Don't go right (woods and the river) Don't try to drive 300 yards or you'll be in the fescue etc. about 275 yards down the middle. I wish others would appreciate and take care of the course like we all do on Sunday mornings. Fix your divots and ball marks (I repair 4-5 ball marks on every green). Rangers are very nice folks too and we have NEVER had an issue with anyone. There's a reason a guy like me drives from the north shore every Sunday morning and battles traffic going home through Boston because my experience has always been top notch and fantastic. I could go on and on but I hope Lyman and WBCC stays a secret so people like me who appreciate it can have it all to ourselves hehe. Fairways, greens, Tee boxes are some of the best around. Yes it can be wet after a couple of days or rain but the water table is higher because it's next to a river (duh) but the drainage efforts the past few years on some of the wetter holes is great and working. No more "lack of common sense" people driving carts on a certain cart path only hole that have gotten their carts stuck and chewed up the fairway / rough (hole16). There's a reason it's cart path only so follow the sign on every single cart (clearly marked and defined). Cart paths don't need to be marked every so often because they're very visible and well defined from the Tee boxes to the green unlike a comment I saw from another post. In fact, several cart paths have had new / fresh asphalt laid down where the cart paths might have been troublesome or bumpy gravel from before. Keep doing what you're doing fella's because us regulars will always return again and again. Thanks to Johnson Golf for having an incredible staff.

PS. It's all about the Chicken Teriyaki sandwich with extra cheese at the turn for me. Lyman and the guys never forget me so I thank you always.

West Bridgewater Country Club is a HIDDEN GEM. I found the course two years ago after playing many courses on the South Shore. The course is in great condition, tees fairways and greens. The back nine holes reminds me of Hilton Head. Price is right and staff is very welcoming. Strongly recommend

It is an amazing golf course and is my personal favorite. The greens are tended too and are kept in great condition. The only one problem I have is that whenever it rains, the couple of days afterwards, the fairways are really muddy and wet. Overall a top tier golf course.

You will not find a better local golf course around and at a great price too. I drive 1 hour every Sunday to get here and 1 hour back home from the North Shore. Fairways and greens are always in great shape even after a very dry and hot summer this year. The superintendent does a phenomenal job including adding drainage on some wet holes like 15 & 16 and Lyman keeps adding some nice asphalt every year for new cart paths. Lyman Doane is such a great asset and good guy as the resident pro there. His staff including Charlie the starter and all the rangers are beyond friendly. I will continue to golf here as long as Lyman has my Chicken Teriyaki sandwich for me at the turn. Thanks for a great time every chance I can play here.

Friendly. For a cold, wet day, things still looked good.

Front nine was in good shape. Back nine was wet. But for February it was playable. As always staff is friendly.

I have been playing this course every summer for the last 10 years. The course has always been in great shape and a joy to play with my family and friends. This summer the course is in excellent shape and the staff are really cool and pleasent each and every time we play. My go to course always.

Great course, excellent condition of greens, fairways and tee boxes. Cart paths are a danger —huge potholes!

Fundraiser. Golf event approx 144 players, raffles, and catered dinner after. Wonderful planning and action. Weather clear 80deg. 18 holes started 1;20pm and ended just before sundow.

Enjoyed the course. Back 9 was more difficult than the front 9 for me. Hotdogs are reasonably priced as well.

What a layout. Conditions were impeccable. Expected soggy fairways on two back nine holes do to unprecedented wet spring. Staff was extremely friendly. Can't wait to return.

Played on a Monday was 40$ to walk 18 which was great value. Conditions were great. Course was mostly flat so it was easy to walk. Would definitely recommend.

This is a really nice course that's taken care of. Also, all the staff is great and is very inviting. Some challenging holes with nice landscape.
