Incredible food and phenomenal service!! Love the new location downtown. So happy to see Mr. Q thriving and thier family run business succeeding. I always recommend here to anyone who comes to town!! Make sure you try the soup and the jalapeño poppers!

So excited to experience a fresh flavor of Mexican food that highlights the great ingredients of our area. Attentive service with a staff that is friendly. Margaritas are very good. The soup was delicious. Definitely going to return with family and friends. Loved the choice of background music, classic rock.

Not your typical "Mexican" or "Latin" food, Mr. Q's has flavorful and creative dishes. If you loved Don Q's on the south end of town, you'll love their new version Mr. Q.

And don't be afraid or leery of the vegetation dishes, they are actually really good (coming from a meat-protein-in-every-meal eater.)

This is a great place to have mexican fusion food!

They have good options for vegetarians. We ordered the vegetarian chille relleno and it was one of the best I’ve had in the US. It was breaded and fried to perfection, and the sauce was incredibly tasty. We shared it between the two of us.

We also paired this with a poblano soup and some chips and salsa, each of which were excellent!

We went there in at 8:52pm and andreas was just about to turn the closed sign when we entered. She was kind and made sure our needs were met and provided us hot water upon request.

This place has a clean restroom as well- great especially if you’re on a long drive from NorCal.

Everything from the Mango Ceviche appetizer, fantastic dinner entrees and the lavender cheesecake for dessert were all amazing. Great portions - all of us had plenty leftover to take home! Service was exceptional as well. We will definitely be back!

DonQ had exceptional California/Mexican Fusion food. I wasn’t expecting too much from it since we entered very close to the closing time (around 8:51pm). So when we called them, they were very open to it and mentioned as long as we enter before 9pm, they won’t deny service for us (was pleasantly surprised by this given how most of the restaurants operate in the US).

- Chips and Salsa: Salsa was really good. I think it was called Jalapeno Cream salsa, and had a very unique taste to it. Asked for extras and the offered more without any hesitation :)

- Vegan Chile Relleno: this item was outstanding! There was something very special and unique about the taste. It was just perfect! The cooked the chilli and the sauce very well.

- Poblano Soup: Comes with the Chile Relleno, and to my pleasant surprise, even the soup here was extremely unique and tasty!

Andrea was the one who served us and she did an amazing job with everything.

They charge a convenience fee for credit card payments. I wish they didn’t do it…

We stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling through on our way to Creston and we were super happy we did. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the wide range of options available—that were super good too!

I had the potato tacos, my husband had chicken and rice. We loved it!

They moved and changed their name but not their food, it is wonderful! I have had most of the food on the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff has always been great and with the new location the atmosphere is great. Love this place.

Been there twice now. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times were great!! Really good food and excellent service. Very flavorful dishes and the prices are pretty decent as well. If you haven't gone yet, you should check it out!!!

I have never been more impressed with a restaurant than I was at Don Q's. If you are looking for a Mexican Food Restaurant that isn't like any other, this is your destination. The moment you step foot in Don Q's you know you found something special. The customer service was unlike anything I've ever experienced. The food was almost indescribable it was so delicious, while at the same time was presented like a work of art. I just found my new home away from home.

referred to us by 2 neighbors, we went the other night, and we were delightfully impressed, the service was impeccable, and the food beyond expectations. I had the pasta plate with chicken and my wife had the Dom perignon chile relleno, which she said was the best she has had in her life. My pasta were fine and the soup that came with it was spectacular

Excellent food! This place has elevated South American food. A lot of influences from Mexico and Argentina. Excellent service from really nice people. So happy they opened nearby!

The best dinner location in atascadero in my opinion. The quality is always there and the flavor is amazing. There hasn’t been a dish I’ve tried that hasn’t been a hit. The staff and owner are all super friendly and make the experience even better. Even the kids love going to Mr.Q… Don’t skip out on the poblano soup!!

The wife and I ate at Don Q for dinner the other night and we thought it was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, helpful service, interesting menu options with good variety, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious food.

I ordered the Don Felipe Enchilada, and my wife had the Dom Perignon Chili Relleno. My enchilada was stuffed with shrimp, beautifully presented, topped with a creamy, tangy, spicy sauce, and very good. The taste actually conjured up memories of some time I spent in Cabo. It was authentic and exquisite.

My wife's chili relleno was a thing of beauty. Fully stuffed with shrimp, coated in a thin crust, and topped with a drizzle of sauce.

Many other food options, by the way. My wife and I just happened to be in the mood for some Latin American offerings. I almost got one of their pork chop meals.

They seem to have a decent wine selection. Minimal beer selection. We ordered some margaritas, mine a standard lime, and my wife's was a mango.

Our server was very attentive and friendly. The space is a bit on the small side, and in a pretty funky location, but personally those things are pretty peripheral when enjoying such good food and service. Can't wait to go back!

Without a doubt, best fusion food in North County. Could tell who the owner is immediately from the service, definitely someone who cares about the whole package. Will be recommending in the future 👍🏽
