The restaurant has tables for seating. Nothing fancy. But the food is great. My family loves to take food to go at least a couple times a month. Highly recommended.

Love this place! So Friendly! 3 different Salsas with great Chips. Very Clean! Awesome Music! Pleasant Atomsphere. It's not far from the Farmer's Market Park.

Tortillas appear homemade, very good! Salsa is good. Everything tastes fresh. Quality of meats is excellent. Good selection of beers.

We got food here to take to a winery in Paso area. I got a tongue or lengua burrito and my husband got a special wet burrito but substituted the meat for their carnitas. The carnitas were some of the best he's had in years. The salsas were good and my lengua burrito was great.

This place has delicious food at a very reasonable price, and super helpful and patient folks guiding us through the menu :) The spice level can go up to 11 if you so wish, which was amazing! Definitely revisiting whenever we can #yum

El Compadre had been a favorite of mine for years, it's a small little place but the food is great and staff is fantastic. I usually get the California burrito which I really enjoy. I tried their special on this visit which was a burrito with beef, pork AND chicken, it was very good.

If you enjoy Mexican and are in Atascadero I definitely recommend giving them a try.

I’ve only gotten takeout but they by far have THE best chicken fajitas I’ve ever had. I don’t even live in the area and I’ve tried a few places where I’m at, but nothing compares. Idk what they do but they’re so good.

Came here for dinner with my kids, my parents and my brother so it was a large group. The staff was very attentive, food came out pretty quick and it was delicious! We all left fat and happy 🙂

The food is great everytime we go there. Owners are very pleasant, kind and friendly to all that walk through the doors in their establishment...

Needed to leave a review on how completely outstanding this restaurant is. The food from this restaurant hits home. My very first order last year was a plate of potato enchiladas. The cook is amazing and willing to work with you in order to get you that perfect plate. Usually when I ask for potato enchiladas elsewhere I get the 🤪🤪 face, but homie said I got you😎😎😎 the food is delicious go check em out

Very unassuming place in strip mall type center. I ordered burritos and they were huge and flavorful. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked awesome. Quick, friendly service.Definitely will be back. Salsa bar was very clean, everything ice cold as it should be. Place was spotless.

El Compadre is THE BEST mexican food in Atascadero!! You know it's right when the salsa is fresh and hot and the Chile rellenos are cooked to perfection and served on a plate still bubbling and steaming!! Dreamy, yummy, cheesy goodness!!! YES!YES!YES!

We can't get enough of El Compadre's food. With my gluten allergy, most restaurants are tough to order from, but El Compadre has never failed me. Delicious food, good prices, freshly made tortillas, amazing guacamole, & a great crew, all really make sure your meal is perfect. If you enjoy trying something different, give the Fiesta salad a try, I love it with shrimp. My family loves all of the enchilads, nachos, & quesadillas they eat there & the churros for a treat after dinner. Enjoy!

Love this place. The service is excellent, the food is excellent. They have so many great choices on their menu. In my opinion I like their fish tacos, they are the best, the chicken tostada summer tostada are so good also, just try everything you won't regret as everything is fresh just the best food in town. Everyone is so friendly and it's a family owned business.

The food was outstanding. I wished I could eat more, it was so yummy! The owners, Mary and Luis, are adorable and really make this restaurant a must, when visiting this beautiful area.

Burritos were amazing. One of the best burritos that I've ever had. There was live music that was not overly loud... Very pleasant. This place was great!

Looking for alternatives while Garcias is closed. This place may have just won me over. Salsa is great. The taquitos were perfect. This will be my new go to
