The Soda Fountain of Venice

Just found our new favorite place! Stopped for a quick lunch today and I'm glad we did. Our server, Devon, was so sweet and welcoming. I was with my young daughter and Devon was happy to answer all her questions and make sure she got her food exactly how she wanted it. Food came quickly and was great. Devon made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy. She really went above and beyond. Servers like her make a restaurant special, make you want to come back. I know we will always come back and hope that Devon is there when we do! I'm sure the owners are so happy to have someone like her, not all places do, people like her make a huge difference and will make customers come back forever!!

Had a great meal! We came in for lunch on Memorial Day since every where else was closed. The food was delicious, highly recommend the garlic knots. The service was great, even though I think our server was the only one running the place she was friendly and very attentive given the situation, also gave us some greats recommendations. Will be coming back for sure!!

This is a cool old school diner. They have the best root beer float and other such soda drinks. Their food was pretty good as well. Unfortunately the service we had wasn’t overly great. Still would recommend going back.

The Soda Fountain in Venice is my go-to spot whenever I'm in town, especially after a day of shark teeth hunting on the beach. This charming ice cream soda joint not only offers a nostalgic experience, but it also serves fantastic food and pizzas that never disappoint. I love laying out my newly found shark teeth while waiting for my order. If you have a sweet tooth, you're in for a treat; their menu features an impressive selection of house-made ice creams, classic sodas, and mouthwatering milkshakes. What really seals the deal is their extra-large pizza, which is not only delicious but also offers excellent value for the money. A trip to Venice isn't complete without a visit to The Soda Fountain!

Loved this place! Super quaint little diner with a retro theme. Food was amazing. I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had, and you have to try the house made chips. For those commenting on service… there is one waitress and she is doing an amazing job. Just have patience and don’t expect to be in and out. It’s worth the wait anyway, which by the way, wasn’t that bad anyhow. Highly recommend!

We were seated pretty quickly even though we had no reservation and they had a full house.

The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful.

Our food was delicious and I can recommend their garlic knots.

The dough for the pizzas is well made, not too thin, not to thick and crunchy.

Inside is an nostalgic and easy atmosphere also not too loud.
Their interior is full of signs and badges from brands old and new.
They also have some local and historical pictures.

The feta cheese I had was made from goat milk like it should be.

They offer several sizes of pizzas and beverages, you can also order a pizza half-n-half which is great for sharing.

The prize was good and we had a really good time there - we will come again!

We stopped in for a shake but decided to try the pizza too. It was delicious. We saw a sigh that they started doing breakfast so we went back the next day and got breakfast sandwichs which were delicious. Highly recommend

In my humble opinion, if you go to Venice and don’t go to The Soda Fountain, you wasted a trip. This local classic soda shop and pizzeria is a gem. The food is amazing. I’m partial to the Italian sub. It’s my go to when I come here. Their fries look simple but are absolutely fantastic. They have a crispness/crunchiness when you bite into them and the center is perfectly cooked and soft. Their pizza is some of the best in the area. You can load it with toppings or go the simple route with just cheese. Either way, you will not be disappointed. Parking can be a bit of a hassle in season because it’s on the busy main drag of Venice. If you’re staying in the area, take out could be a good option for you. If you want to wait and sit at the restaurant, it’s worth it. Plus, you can stick around for dessert.

Biggest slice of pizza I have ever had and for a great price! Wonderful thin crust and great taste. If I lived in Venice, I would eat here often as the ice cream looked good too!

There was only one waitress with a full house but she was extremely kind and got all our drinks and food out promptly. Excellent selection of sodas and ice cream! The one giant slice of New York style pizza was well worth it.

Absolutely love this place. Great location, really cool atmosphere, and the best food! We ordered a chocolate malt milkshake that was to die for. Also ordered the baked ziti came with two garlic knots. Both were so delicious! The ziti was authentic and the garlic knot had fresh garlic on top. This will for sure be a repeat destination for myself and family.

This place is the real deal!!! Casual, prompt, and delicious. It's everything it's supposed to be. The malts are delicious and the pizza slices are gigantic!

My boyfriend and I split a bacon cheeseburger and a slice of pizza (and yes, they really do have the biggest slice in town). It was delicious and our waitress was very nice.

Had just eaten and stopped in looking for coffee decided to have a cherry soda ice cream soda and a vanilla egg cream and they were excellent. Food people was ordering smell wonderful too will have to come back and try it. Ask for Emily. They were very busy and she was very excellent at handling it.

Old fashioned soda floats, hot dogs, sandwiches, subs and hamburgers are sold here. We had a great lunch after visiting Caspersen Beach and although service was slow we had a good time.

Went with my husband for a lunch with treats! We got two sodas which we didn't finish, but only because they were way bigger than we thought! Definitely great value for your dollar! Food was great! We even finished with a sundae that was absolutely delicious.

Adorable spot, great friendly service, yummy food. I had a sasparilla from the fountain and a sub, the Italian. My sandwich had ham, salami, melted provolone, and Italian dressing...very good! He had the pizza sub, which is similar to a pepperoni french bread pizza, and drank a cherry cream soda.

Our waitress was super friendly and lots of the staff and regulars knew each other. Very clean too...highly recommend this spot!

REALLY amazing pickle chips. Lots of great drinks too. A lot of great options. Good for lunch or dinner.

Pizza was very good - baked well with just the right amount of crisp. My cherry-vanilla coke was also delicious. The "single" scoop of ice cream was enough to put me in a nap/coma shortly afterwards.
