Lockwood Folly Country Club

Great course with a great layout. If you're ever around the area make sure to stop in and play 18!

This is a great old course. I think Lockwood Folly has been around for many decades. It is one of our favorites that we try to play on our yearly golf trip to the coast. The course was in good shape, there were some rough spots but we do understand that this is Resort golf down east and these courses get heavy traffic.

Beautiful course and friendly staff. Played an afternoon round with my 12 year old while vacationing at Holden Beach. I’ve paid more for lesser courses. Will definitely come back.

Friendly staff, bag drop with assistance was available, and wonderful view from the back porch. Beverage cart available if needed. Enjoyed the layout, wasn’t overly crowded, and golf was good. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Sand traps were raked and correct amount of sand. Plan to go back every chance I can get.

Not really a 5..butorw then 4.2 average. Greens need help but they're probably getting ready to aerify. Staff is great. Hometown feel when you check in.

Hard to get to in a while. You have to drive over a mile through winding neighborhood road but the old trees give it great scenery. Only 1 hole facing the march and its a great finishing view.

Layout is easy enough
Only slight bends.

Water very much in place throughout course so if you done like hitting around water you'll not like this place. I personally love water features.

Fairways and tee boxes were good, not great shape. Greens just beat up is only complaint if I had one.

Had the seafood soup which the wait staff excitedly recommended. She was right!

Played in charity event scramble. Plenty of friendly staff to help getting loaded. Practice areas are good. Course in nice shape- tee box, fairways/ rough and greens. Restaurant/ banquet food excellent.

CGMS golf team. My Son was number 2 golfer when on the good team at Cedar Grove middle.

The course seems have gotten a face lift. Management knows what they're doing. This establishment and the crew running it are making good changes. Looking forward to my next visit. 5 stars and keep up the good work!

Course was in very good condition. They have large greens that were in excellent condition. The pro shop is a smooth operation - I made a reservation for 3 online for $56 each on a Saturday - check-in was easy. The restaurant in the club house is a pretty good place to hang out after the round. The club house itself looks like it was built within the last year - very clean. A very good moderately-priced option for public play in that area.

Beautiful, scenic course in really excellent condition. Seems like a nature preserve with deer, fox, variety of seabirds, etc. Staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Very nice neighborhood and great course. Overall, it was in very good shape with some easy and tough holes. There are scenic views looking over the water back to Holden Beach. Even got to see some wildlife roaming the course

If you’re in the Shallotte area, this is a pretty good course to stop by. Lots of water (I don’t mind it since my home course has like 1 pond) and fairways were in really good shape during my round (Mid June) there is also a range and putting green for warming up to top it all off.
