Sportman's Park

Nice little park and campground next to Sleepy Eye lake. Wonderful walking/bike trail goes around the lake. Almost exactly 5k perfect for a stroll.

First time going to the Sleepy Eye Christmas lights this year, and it was a quick stop, but fun to see! Compared to Mankato, it's cool that the whole display in the park goes to the music, like every single tree, which was awesome to watch when parked on the backside in the little turnaround spot. They had hot chocolate & snacks, as well as a hayride, but we didn't get out of our car to do all of that. Lots of photo ops!

Best-designed bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campsite. Simple, functional, and easy to clean (and they are cleaned every day). Free Wi-Fi throughout the grounds. If you stay there, there is no check in or check out procedure (nor a place to do it). Just make your reservation online and go straight to your site when you get there.

Great lights.

The Christmas light display is stellar. Tune in 89.1 for the synced music. It was magical for my kids. You can drop off letters for Santa too.

Have camped here and stopped several times during winter for the lights. Put on a fabulous display for a small town.

Had a family picnic there. Lots of room, kids rec area, beautiful view of the lake. Bike trail around the lake. I wood recommend.

Many services and amenities for families. Bikes to rent, fish cleaning house, many electric campsites, new bathhouse, cabins, swimming beach, bike trail, community fire pit, connected to many other community services, like a water park.

Fun family atmosphere. Nice showers and restroom facilities. Fishing piers and docks if you like to fish. Nice shelters for gathering as well.

Good place to take the little man fishing!

grew up in sleepy eye, sportsman park has gone through a total transformation, lots of campsites, awesome new cabins, and new bathrooms and showers. the lake has been well kept over the years as well.

Good place to do some fishing and in the winter they put up lights that are very impressive to see

This is a great place to take the kids fishing from the dock. And the lights at Christmas time are a must see
