Had a great experience for my first time shopping here. I found everything I need for my last minute grocery shopping for my vacation. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Northport, my hometown. Always a pleasure. It has the basics and then some for what one needs for our small village area. Never had a problem here, although there have been some changes. Such as not having the bathroom being to the public anymore back where the water fountain is, but outside that it's just as I remember it visually :).

Thankful to have this Spartan Foods store in Northport. The self checkout upgrade is so well designed and implemented. The carry Highegrounds coffees and that's so good. New hours of 7am to 8pm daily year round. Good to have post Labor Day service and hours at our local grocery store. While other local businesses under new ownership have shifted to reduced hours and days of operations, Tom's is maintaining the standard hours. Their selection of Gluten Free and organic and natural food has also improved. Also, if there is a product you're looking for, ask, and they may be able to order it if it's possible.

My husband and I arrived in Northport from central Illinois today to visit friends. We stopped in Tom's first thing to buy a bouquet of flowers and a few other things. The store is beautiful! The cashier was very helpful. We're off to a great start!!

Since it’s update, Toms has gotten much better! Addition of self checkout was much appreciated! Good selection of products and the new design/layout is more cohesive. Gotta love Tom’s!

Good ol’ Tom’s in Northport shines like a pretty penny! The remodel & self checkouts are much appreciated. Thanks for giving us such a great little grocery store in which to shop!

Update 7/16/23 — They've earned a fifth star! Their ability to keep up with summer traffic is no longer in doubt. Here we are in the middle of the high season and the shelves are well stocked. Those stretches of empty shelves seem to be a thing of the past. They have an empty facing here and there but they're really staying ahead of demand. They were even able to keep ice, beer and charcoal in stock over the fourth of July when town was packed. It's an impressive turnaround and they deserve a lot of credit for stepping up. Now it would be nice — and I realize this is a somewhat offbeat request — if they could scale back a few of their dozen or so facings of soy sauce and stock one facing of fish sauce for those of us who like Pacific rim cuisine. Not complaining — just a suggestion. The heavy lifting they've already done is great and we locals appreciate it! >>>>> (Original post) Really the only game in town for groceries. Whole sections of shelves often out of stock in summer and for holidays due to seasonal visitors. Generally have the basics. Update 4/23 - they reset the entire store and added some cooler sections. Aisles look a bit narrower which makes more shelf space. It looks like they increased the SKUs and there's a bigger range of products. Instead of restocking once a week they now resupply daily. Big improvement. I'm giving them a fourth star.

I drive here from SB for the better selection, lower prices and friendly service. Great store, worth the trip.

Great store with everything that you need. Amazed at the produce.and meat department. Had some of the best fresh corn on the cob of the season. Boating, so no car but in this town no need to go looking for a larger store Tom's was perfect.

Great selection for a little market. You can pretty much find anything you need for your vacation/visit here. We were staying in Northport for our visit. Fortunately, we were able to walk here to replenish our supply of beer, wine, and cider!

Great place. Tom's has gotten even better over the past year. Their produce and meat selections are very good for a store of this size.

Been to this store before, happy to hear that you are upgrading the establishment. Your local community customer base patrons will be looking forward to a Grand opening or some sort of party .

It's a little food market by city standards but if they don't have it you probably don't need it. I've been stopping here for years... most often with family and suggest you try it out next time you're way out here on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula.
