Metro Market

So I show up early on Superbowl Sunday at Metro Market. I try to use a raincheck for some soda and the nice lady watching the self-checkout points out that my raincheck is from Hy-Vee not Metro Market. Oops! It's OK because the soda is on sale anyway provided that I enter the phone number linked to the Pick 'n Save Advantage Card I got from Chairman Bob far before the turn of the millennium. :) Also, I get these nice Kroger coupons in the mail once and a while. This one coupon says free Energizer batteries 2 pack or 4 pack. It doesn't say which type of battery so of course I choose the most expensive batteries. These four AAA batteries would have been $16.49! The nice lady is amazed and showing due diligence, even holds the coupon up to the light to make sure it is legit. We're talking big bucks here. After no hassle I got them free. I also had a free mayo coupon, so my total savings was $24.82 on a $7.00 receipt. How can four AAA batteries cost $16.49 anyway? My new goal in life is to outlive the 20-year shelf life of these batteries. 🙂 Love you Kroger.

Original post: Wonderful store but, unfortunately, the west entrance has a huge pothole that can crack your rim if not careful.

This store has the potential to have a 5 star rank if it can fix this pothole and ensure the roads remain drive worthy.

Lots of fresh deli, produce and bakery items! See picture for a small sampling. They have super fresh produce. Even their marked down produce is very good. In the Deli, my favorites are the salmon and oven baked chicken pieces. They also have great jumbo shrimp offerings, that come in ready to heat or cook in the oven or microwave. The special aluminum pans are safe to use in the microwave (no sparks!) Great for last minute dinner options!

Love coming here! They are so friendly and helpful, and everyone is always doing their best, I also love how they have upped their flower game over the past few years

I've been coming here since the mid 2000s when I lived in Middleton. It's a great local grocery store chain. I love the deli department the best with all of the different delicious salads and hot food to try. This is a great place to get catering for a large party or event. And an excellent grocery store. I'm always happy with products and prices. Sometimes I go out of my way to shop at this specific location!

Great store. Really like the produce section. The displays are nice and the produce always looks fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Not the cheapest place to shop but I will pay more if I don't have to pick through damaged or rotting fruits and veggies. They also have a great selection of cheeses and meats. If you haven't shopped here you should be.

Over the last two years I have made many purchases from the store's floral department. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the flowers. During this year of COVID I would often stop and purchase cut flowers to take to my 92 year old mom. The store's selection is always great. This holiday season I purchased 19 orchids to give as gifts. Laurie was the employee that helped me. Her service was excellent. She helped me make selection decisions, switched and swapped pots, gave me a discount for buying so many, and had them all wrapped, boxed and ready when I came to pick them up several hours later. She even helped carry them to my car. I whole-heartedly recommend purchasing flowers from Laurie. (Ron Endres posting on my wife's account).

I didn't know if they were going to be open because it was a holiday. The one thing I wanted I was able to grab quickly and not have long lines for the registers. It was a very pleasant experience especially since it was a holiday and there was a large amount of people in the store. It was nice to be at a business that was prepared to deal with a larger crowd due to a holiday instead of leaving frustrated!

Convenient locations. Helpful staff. Very clean. Awesome selection of produce, bakery, fresh meats and seafood. Meat can be custom cut, butcher is helpful. The checkout lanes can be lengthy during busy periods, but checkers and baggers are very helpful. With large orders baggers offer help out to the car which is unusual these days. Oh, and there is a floral department and they will customize a small arrangement for you.

Well stocked with fresh meats and produce. Decent bakery goods. Donuts taste better and fresher than those at fancy donut shops closeby. Polite and most helpful staff. Fair prices. Weekly special items are always great deals. Instore ice cream shop, however, couldn't match taste and quality at popular ice cream store across the street. Oh well.

Perfect local store. Great selection of produce, well stocked bakery and gorgeous flower options. The team in the near department are very helpful.
Overall the staff is excellent...courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.

Really nice grocery store here at Pick N Save. It's always got what I need and feels fresh all the time. They really work hard to keep the store clean and I appreciate it a lot.

The woman who runs the floral department is fantastic. She has great taste and makes beautiful arrangements and I always feel I got a wonderful gift for the money.

Clean, good selection, fair prices, excellent sales, great location, wonderful customer service, wish they had bulk items, milk in glass jugs & more package free produce

This is a friendly, clean, and we'll run grocery store. The Meat department is Very Good as is the Deli. Good parking and lots of carts.

The store on University is the best. Awesome selection and sales. I would only give four stars to the Middleton location because of less selection.

Good selection and reasonable prices. They also have a good variety of vegetarian and vegan food in the frozen section.

Great selection of groceries and can find almost anything you need. Customer service is awesome as well
