Hudson's Video Games - Volusia Mall

I love any nerd culture that pops up to face the Game sales juggernaut. Friendly staff, great selection of vintage gaming history, and a bin full of Pokémon Plushes.

A fun little store with a varied selection of classic games, and new titles. Funko Pops and Pokemon cards on sales as well. A nostalgic selection of memorable games and a fair trade policy with store credit options. A friendly management makes the shop feel welcoming and a great addition to the mall.

Five Stars ... Best video game store I ever been, they have new and old school games , everyone is super knowledgeable about the games, awesome costumer service, and very good products... You will find there stuff that you would never thought you could ever find again. When you go there, look for Dean, he is super, he will not only help you but alsovhook you up with whatever you need... And if he dosn't have he will definitely find it for you.. best video game store I've ever been.. It beats Game Stop by miles.

Hudson's Video games store in Volusia Mall is a really nice place and everything is so clean and organized and the people are really helpful and also the games are endless and I enjoy talking to everyone that works there I am so grateful that this store is around. Best store ever. Dean is one of kind and he truly understand what the costume wants.

I was not expecting to see such a bangin locally owned game store when I walked in. It's hard to miss, right next to the entrance by Applebee's. They have all kinds of stuff. The girl there, Violet, helped me figure out why my controller wasn't connecting to my ps5. She even offered to help repair it if it was indeed broken. But, we figured it out together. I grabbed a couple pops and have come back to chill a few times. I'm saving up to grab their 3do.

It's a great store. The staff and the manager ,Dean, are great, fun to talk to and very helpful with finding video games.

If you like older video games this is a good place to find them especially at a good price

Nice little retro game store in the mall! Had some cool titles available and some systems. Selection is small. They also sell repro games. So make sure you ask if it's reproduction or not!

They have a cute nice little store but that’s about it, all the prices of the games and consoles are over priced compared to the other 3 retro game stores that are less than 20 minutes away from the mall and they are all bigger than this store as well. Also you will have an easier time finding what you will be looking for at any of the other stores as they are bigger as I mentioned and have competing prices where sometimes you can even negotiate on a price of a retro game and have the chance to save an extra couple dollars where as here in this store they are charging the upmost dollar on each and every game and console and it seems like they won’t come down on any price. I walked in their and found a game I wanted but saw that it was priced at $20 but when I looked on eBay, and found the same exact game for $7 cheaper and it came with the complete game, meaning it game with the game case, Manual and disc, but here in the store they were missing the manual in the game case and were still charging more money than what it was on eBay!
Also I called to compare prices on a GameCube console and they said they have it for $120, I called another resto game store that’s 10 minutes away from the mall and they told me they can sell it to me for $100! Guess they don’t want to have a completíveis business and when this store shuts down like almost every other store has done in the past in the volusia mall, this will soon follow suit!

I would certainly not recommend them. They are selling reproduction games for twice the price of buying them anywhere else, and almost the same price as the original game. Preying on people's ignorance and/or nostalgia is a shame. Staff was super friendly though.

Called ahead while in town as I heard the store closed and was happy to find out they were in a different location in the mall. Let the person working know I was on my way. When I got there about 10 minutes later the store was in fact v
closed and there was a be back soon sign in the window. After about 5 minutes the employee walked back into the store failed to acknowledge me waiting outside at all got something and then went back out the side door. I waited over 45 minutes after that and the store was still closed so I had plenty of time to type this review. If they aren't open again in the next 15 minutes I will be leaving 100% disappointed. Hands down worst experience I've had with any store in a long time.

I stopped by around 3 p.m., and it's now 4:25. The store is still closed!

The manager was misleading, disrespectful of our time and clearly has no interest in running this store with any integrity.
We came in a few weeks ago and spoke to the manager about selling our pop collection and some other items. We showed him some of our valuable pops on the funko pop app and he said he was very interested. We explained that we knew we would not get the full value but were looking for half, this was brought up multiple times. He said he would pass the information along to his district manager since he was more qualified to price the pops, but not once did he mention that price was not possible. A couple of weeks went by and we heard nothing so we stopped in and asked what was up. He said he never heard back from his dm, but to just bring everything in the next day. We said we would be there at 12 when the mall opened and he said that was good. He was not there. The nice associate tried to help but said she did not know how to price the pops. After waiting around for hour for her to her to try her best at pricing the items and having to call the manager over and over she tells us they don't do anything over 20%. If they told us that from the beginning we would have understood and moved on. Now we will never go back there to shop and we'll never recommend this store to anyone.
